I think so. I'm still in UG but I already sent them an updated transcript so I'll work on a LOCI to send them soon.MustacheMarshall wrote:Held via email. 171/3.6. complete late Nov.
Email says we can send an updated transcript, but for those like me who are out of UG, would this be an appropriate time to send an LOCI?

Just held as well. Suprised I wasn't an outright ding to be completely honest. Maybe there is still some hope.

Maybe the fact that they've compiled this reserve hold batch means that the big rejection batch is coming soon. According to last year, there was a big group of rejections in early February, but there are only 4 on LSN so I don't think the big wave has happened yet.

Looks like I dodged the hold. No decision whatsoever and I submitted mid Nov.

Based on LSN, I was an auto-WL but now I'm fearing that soon I'll check my mailbox and discover a rejection letter.

In case anyone finds this helpful -- 2010-2011 cycle Held thread. Seems like Columbia's hold is a bit like Harvard's, no?

Congrats/sorry?? about the holds... although I'd probably take it. Maybe this means dings are coming out too?
And I applied in November but went complete in mid-Jan. Which group should I consider my peers? Jan group?

No. Reserve is like a WL and they won't look at your file again until May. The hold e-mail guarantees you a decision before 4/26, although most likely this just means we will be reserved sometime in April.02889 wrote:Are the emails today not placing people on reserve?Crowing wrote:Also held - a better outcome than reserve anyway

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I wonder if my application was held because I originally registered for the Feb. LSAT (though I subsequently canceled)? A lot of schools seem to think that I took it. It's strange, because LSAC says they don't notify schools that you're registered, that you have to do that yourself.
Would be a bummer if that were the case...
ETA: Just called and they said that because my status is complete, they're not awaiting the score. So I guess that has nothing to do with it.

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Oh, interesting, thanks for clarifying. So they've now sent 1 large batch of Reserve emails and 1 large batch of Hold emails. It does seem like today's Hold group is stronger numbers-wise than the Reserve group from 1-2 weeks ago. Still no rejections, though I assume those are in the near future.Crowing wrote:No. Reserve is like a WL and they won't look at your file again until May. I really do wonder why CLS waitlists so many people that they know they will never take. Are they just really bad at break-ups?
