Sorry about all the holds and reserves today, guys!! It sucks, but I am sure you all have a bunch of wonderful options at your disposal. And who knows, maybe CLS will have to go to the reserve list more this year than it has in previous years. Here's hoping anyway.

for cls, reserve means you have just been rejected. sorry folks.

If I may ask, if that's the case, why not just reject instead of reserve? There has to be a distinction of some kind. Unless their process is just completely illogical, which I suppose wouldn't be terribly surprising.

Agreed...comments like that kinda peeve me...even if just 10 get in off the reserve list, its still a chance and if you want it, go for it! Though, comments like this probably also deter others from remaining on the reserve list, so i guess it's a wash...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone's reported any holds yet today (and maybe not yet this cycle)---just reserves (which is basically a WL).

yeah, CLS is one of the schools that cares a bit about 25/75 percentiles, and if they're willing to take a minor hit, slightly below 3.55, they might think my gpa maintains the quartile while keeping the LSAT 75th high. Either that or they haven't finished reserving/I have a ding letter on the way.

I think you're misunderstanding. Chances are so slim for getting off the WL/Reserve list that it might as well be a rejection.

If the letter says that reserve=/WL, it does not mean to suggest that there is a separate pool of applicants put on a WL; instead, it means to suggest that -- in contrast to a standard WL -- they only dip into the reserve pool in an emergency.

Well, I turned in my reserve form. I guess I'll ride it until the end of my cycle. I'm having a hard time considering waiting for the chance at admission until May. Oh well.
