I was DF 3/15 and just got the admitted student portal e-mail last night.

Letter still hasn't reached the east coast.

Yeah, not a splitter pile as I'm part of it, too...166/3.69. None of us seem too terribly confident about our chances

It took me a few months too. It doesn't mean anything.

Also, does anyone know how we find out about $. Is it included in the admission letter?

Not in admit letter. No schollies given out yet as far as I know.

Yes. Fill out USC Scholarship app, FAFSA, and their graduate student supplemental form. It's on their financial aid website and you'll most likely get an e-mail about it in the next few days.

Just a random Q - is this like the Vanderbilt Scholars Essay? Does it need to be well written or can I just throw it in now giving the facts in stream of consciousness writing?

It's not an essay. It's just a series of questions that, for most people, could probably be answered with just a couple of sentences. You can write more and they'll ask you to if you think it's something they should consider.

I suppose I should mention I got the admitted student email last night as well. 3/15 DF

I wish I was more excited, since USC was like a dream school for me a year ago, but I'm pretty sure I'm headed to NYU next year...

No, it doesn't seem like they offer travel reimbursement. At least, I haven't come across any info regarding it though I haven't asked (would be nice! I really need to visit the schools there).

Kinda peeved that I was accepted the day before the DC reception, but no one contacted me about it (apparently others got calls/e-mails when this happened).

Also submitted financial aid stuff. Have people been hearing back already? How long is the turn around?

Nobody has heard back about their financial aid as far as I am aware. I would suspect that they will be awarding them this week, as any later could pose problems for people who have to seat deposits due soon. *fingers crossed*

We have the same LSAT score, the same undergrad major, and the same exact desire to hear about finaid! I'm dying here! Haha.

Got my rejection from the rothman scholarship, dated 3/14 postmarked 3/15 and arrived in minnesota yesterday. They said there were 176 applicants this year. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back on this, and also for all the other scholarships still to be divvied up!
