There comes a point where retake is pointless. Usually that point is where you are above every schools 75th and they still don't want you.r6_philly wrote:Why don't you?CastleRock wrote:At least you guys have the hope of a retake.

Then maybe I shouldn't expect the top schools to want my old ass regardless of retake? lol Oh well we need to see some more $$$ to make feel better about that pleaseCastleRock wrote:There comes a point where retake is pointless. Haha there will be no jinxing! But thankssss! Still have to get through the interview and then pray for a JR2. But who knows where I'll be- my cycle could get pretty complicated, although it's a good complicated so I'll take itjtemp320 wrote:Congrats #s twin!!!eaa1537 wrote:JR1! JR1! JR1! JR1! JR1! JR1! JR1! I was held at the same time...don't I feel stupid for not sending a LOCI...didn't know what to say - of course I'm still interested because its HLS? Going to go bang one out now....
Good luck with the JR1 I know you'll rock it.

And good luck with the LOCI- I guess mine helped so hopefully it'll help you too!
Thanks starry! And if you haven't already send in that LOCI! I can't even imagine still being forgottenstarrydreamz3 wrote:-Breaks down in tears-

I was thinking that being Forgotten was better than being grouped in with the rest of the Holds, but now that you've gotten a JR1 I guess I may be inclined to send one. Yeah, seems like we really are actually forgotten. I guess the LOCI is the way to go, to get another piece of writing in front of them. I don't really have much of an update though... and the why Harvard stuff is kind of... I don't know. I just feel silly pointing all that out. I may call and see what the recommendation is.starrydreamz3 wrote:I was thinking that being Forgotten was better than being grouped in with the rest of the Holds, but now that you've gotten a JR1 I guess I may be inclined to send one. I feel the exact same way. It seems ridiculous that they would receive my letter about how much I want to go to Harvard and decide "Oh okay, before we assumed that this person just was pulling our leg, but now that we KNOW a prospective law student would want to come here, this changes everything!"ahduth wrote:Yeah, seems like we really are actually forgotten. Did anyone send a postcard with their LOCI? If so, when did you get your postcard back?
I sent my LOCI twelve days ago, and it got there about nine days ago, and I haven't gotten anything.

I think I'm just going enumerate specific aspects of my background that I hope to leverage in the areas of law I'm considering. Make it clear I have an actual plan for my law degree other than "throw shit at the wall during OCI and see what sticks."mbaba19 wrote:I feel the exact same way. Yup yup, sent mine on the 3rd, got there the next day, and I got the postcard back on the 9th... so depending on where you live you should see something VERY soonWhatSarahSaid wrote:Did anyone send a postcard with their LOCI? I really don't want to be that annoying guy who sends the same thing twice, but I'd rather do that than have them not receive it for some reason.
I guess I'll wait until Monday.

Reading that alongside your avatar makes it look very sarcastic. But agreed, congrats to all JR1s. Now I wish they'd start showing more love to HLSplitters.Nulli Secundus wrote:Congratulations to all that received their JR1s!

Is it normal to get an e-mail telling you your application is complete almost two weeks after your application went UR? Just got a complete e-mail and nearly had a heart attack and then realized what it was and was let down.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Does anyone know what the chances of getting a JR2 are after having had a reasonably successful JR1? Also, how soon do you think we can expect to hear back? I had my JR1 this week, so just sitting on pins and needles waiting...eek!
Congrats to those who got JR1s today

It was like that for me too... back in early December. I think it's all part of the fun.seanjohn0724 wrote:Haha, the exact same thing just happened to me!chasgoose wrote:Is it normal to get an e-mail telling you your application is complete almost two weeks after your application went UR?
