I've seen people that have been interviewed and have received the Reserve or Hold email. No rejects to my knowledge.

So... what should I be thinking if I went complete in late October, interviewed in December, and haven't heard a peep since they asked for my fall grades in January?

Just sent a LOCI as one of the people who went complete in October/interviewed in December...will see if it prompts a response?

I am admitted (but not enrolled) and did not get this email. I have, to the best of my knowledge, sent in all of my financial aid paperwork.CA97 wrote:Wait, did everyone who was admitted and enrolled get this fin'l aid email?mangoluvr wrote:I got an email about an hour ago saying:redapple99 wrote:Anyone know when fin aid info comes out (for those who didn't get a named scholarship)?

Hey, just wondering approximately how long people have waited to hear back after interviews for those of you who have heard back (accepted/admitted/rejected).
I know some have waited a while and not heard anything, but for those who have also wondering how you heard back, snail mail, email, or phone call?
Thanks!!

The email also says to "Be sure to submit any supplemental materials you would like us to consider." Any advice on whether I should send financial aid offers from peer schools? Or should I wait in case I ask them to reconsider an initial offer?mangoluvr wrote:I got an email about an hour ago saying:redapple99 wrote:Anyone know when fin aid info comes out (for those who didn't get a named scholarship)?

When I saw had an email from Columbia, my heart stopped. It just showed me the first part of a sentence: "Thank you for your interest..."
I was sure it was my ding, but then they say they need a Dean's certification for a semester I was on probation my first year of College.
Glad to know they've finally acknowledged my application after submitting January 28.

Not yet. I was part of the big Feb 9th wave of holds. Sent in a LOCI on the first of this month. I'm going to try and visit soon but I'm on the west coast. I want to flesh out my interest, CLS is my top choice but I'd like to sit in on a class, and determine how long I'll allow myself to sit on a waitlist if it pans out that way.SlippinJimmy wrote:Any Held people have any movement?

OMG. CONGRATULATIONS. I interviewed 10 days before, no word. I think it is LOCI time for me. Don't want to be WL'd or held, and I worry they think I'll get into H, Y or NYU. (And I did get into NYU this week, but want CLS SO MUCH MORE). Did you do or say anything after you interviewed (a LOCI, visiting admissions in person, etc.)?trevian39 wrote:Just got in!!!! In via email!! FYI, Had my interview last Tuesday. Thank you Columbia for ending the brutal loop of waiting lists. Funny to notice that Columbia is the only school I didn't write a why essay, but I got waitlisted almost everywhere else even with a why essay.

I got an interview request yesterday. So to all those who think that no interview request by now means you're dinged: not so! There still is hope
Speaking of which: anything out of the ordinary one could expect at such an interview?

Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
Anyone care to speculate on what Columbia will do to get back to the #4 spot? The easiest way would seem to be by bumping up the GPA median considering you can't really bump up the LSAT median any higher than 172. All of the other factors that worked against Columbia seem to just be a function of it being a bigger school than Chicago which make them difficult to change. Just as an FYI I'm attending Columbia,(happily), in the fall so this is just more out of curiosity. Anyone who thinks this #5 spot is permanent is kidding themselves.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
