Gonna be tough to make moves if you deny all but people who will get full rides at higher ranked schools anyway

Latest Spivey tweet:

Just got the most recent #lawschool data recorded through 1/6. Applicants are down -4.4, applications down -2.2. All LSAT bandwidths >160 ⬇️

Heart just skipped a beat. (I realize this probably doesn't include Dec scores still, so here's to hoping the trend continues.)

Assuming this includes a good number of Dec takers, maybe the schools will finally get rolling on some offers!

It might, given that it's recorded at 1/6. Question about his data: does it only include applicants when it determines % change in LSAT, or does it take the entire population (everyone who took the test)?

I'm dumb. I was looking at my December calendar and saw the 6th was a Tuesday. You're right, this is even better.

Spivey said he'd get data with Dec takers this week, so I'm assuming this is it.

I'm really glad that sacrificing some firstborns to the LSAC gods has paid off.

I don't think we know anything about GPA, but I would imagine as LSAT floors fall they will take the highest GPA's at each band first, which would be helpful

Seems like it would be good news for all. Praise be unto Spivey for showing us a light in the darkness.

Good point, I'm really excited. Why do you think there was a drop in scores? I know Sep test was hard, but June and December were pretty typical. Weird.

If I end up sitting this cycle out for whatever reason I'm totally hiring him next go around. Dude deserves the cash just for his posts here.

December had hard LG and some weird ass LR...I think we may be seeing people who in prior years would have gotten low 170s scoring in the mid high 160s and sitting out a cycle.

can we assume schools with 169 medians will be gunning for 170? If so, they all wouldn't be able to raise to 170 would they?

It won't likely work like that. HYSCCN will have to dig deeper into the 170 scorers to maintain, and Harvard Columbia and NYC have huge class sizes. It's going to destroy schools with 169 medians- seriously, half as many 169s as 170s? Jesus.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
