Whoa careful people. Gilmore Girls is the show I'm currently watching - post any more potential spoilers and I will personally contact JS and make sure your application never sees the light of day.

Very surprised there were no JS1 today.
Suspect a wave of dings coming soon.

JS1 and JS2 are unofficial terms used on TLS. "Getting a JS1" just means getting an invitation to interview. "Getting a JS2" just means getting an acceptance. Not all that different from any other school that conducts interviews.Oskosh wrote: Eccentric because of the J1 and J2, whereas all of them follow a more conventional model. And I don't know how long it takes for them to get through their model.

looks like slots are no longer avail for week of 2/1. seems like there was a wave of JS1s?

There was a report early this afternoon (it's a few pages back), so it looks like a wave went out, just with minimal TLS representation.morimoto1991 wrote: looks like slots are no longer avail for week of 2/1. seems like there was a wave of JS1s?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Or they are hiding the 2/1 slots so folks can opt for the earlier slots and leave the later ones for the next wave of JS1? (That is if earlier slots are still available)

It's starting to look like there are less and less of us at both medians with no JS1. I'm starting to get even more nervous.

JS1 on 1/8. I feel pretty "meh" about my interview performance overall (skype interviews are just awkward), but I didn't screw anything up as far as I can tell. I'll be spending the next few months waiting for my JS2 with the rest of you, cheers all!

Thrilled to discover that I am finally complete after a two week wait. Now the waiting really begins. *Fingers crossed for JS1*

Any guesses on when the first waitlist emails will be sent? I'm 95% sure one of them will have my name on it.

Last year I believe the WL came out late March/early April, so we've got a long ways to go yet. There was a bruutal ding wave right before the WL came out last year; I was among the casualties as a JS1-and-Done hahasmile0751 wrote:Any guesses on when the first waitlist emails will be sent? All that changes this year doee

How long were your JS1 interviews? Mine was only 10-15 minutes tops. Makes me think that it was a courtesy interview because I have family connections before I get dinged.

Everyone's JS1s were around that long. I wouldn't read into your admissions chances based on the length of your interview.GoneSouth wrote:How long were your JS1 interviews? Mine was 16 mins; no lawyers in my family.GoneSouth wrote:How long were your JS1 interviews? Mine was only 10-15 minutes tops. Makes me think that it was a courtesy interview because I have family connections before I get dinged.
They don't have much time, and they interview ~1200 applicants.

I think that's normal from what's been reported here. Mine was 8-9 minutes long and I was accepted.GoneSouth wrote:How long were your JS1 interviews? Mine was only 10-15 minutes tops. Makes me think that it was a courtesy interview because I have family connections before I get dinged.

I think mine was just over 20 and I haven't heard anything, so YMMV.GoneSouth wrote:How long were your JS1 interviews? Mine was only 10-15 minutes tops. Makes me think that it was a courtesy interview because I have family connections before I get dinged.

10 min. Admitted in the next wave.GoneSouth wrote:How long were your JS1 interviews? Mine was only 10-15 minutes tops. Makes me think that it was a courtesy interview because I have family connections before I get dinged.
Length has everything to do with them having tons of people to interview, and nothing to do with your chances.

That's reassuring. I saw people talking about 30 minute interviews and was starting to get a little worried.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
when do they stop pulling people off the WL? Im thinking of a June retake in anticipation of getting WL'd at H (current LSAT is a point below median) and those scores should come out during the first week of July. Will that certainly be too late? Or will there be some waitlisters who still dont have a decision by then? I'll prob be retaking regardless to see if I can get any more scholly $, but Im just wondering if it could do anything for my chances at H.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
I was admitted following an 18 minute JS1, but a lot depends on how many questions you ask (had I had less, the interview would have likely been shorter).GoneSouth wrote:How long were your JS1 interviews?
