Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I'm considering declining the interview. I feel like my probability of going to Georgetown is very close to 0, even though it would be my highest ranked school by a little so far (UCLA is 17). I really want to/need to/should stay in California for family reasons. The dilemma!

I mean either withdraw you're app or do the interview. Don't see any point in the middle ground.Frozinite wrote:I'm considering declining the interview. This. I mean the least you could do is interview for the experience? If it's an alum, maybe they will buy you a coffee?yossarian71 wrote:I mean either withdraw you're app or do the interview. Placed on the waitlist today. Couldn't make the interview because I was seeing my wife for the first time in a month. So fuck them if that earns me a waitlist.
17x/3.9x. Withdrawn.

WL. the streak is over! had a horrible interview, imo. my interviewer also gave me a VERY bad impression of the school/himself, but i tried not to let it bother me too much. in any case, will be withdrawing. good luck everyone else!

Regular WL today. Oh well, at least I don't need to worry about dealing with that crazy DC cost of living on top of tuition. Good luck everybody!

J/K
I actually feel like you have a good shot off of the preferred WL. Write a solid LOCI, and I think the odds are in your favor.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Does anyone have any insight into the likelihood of a part-time program applicant getting off the Preferred Waitlist? My assumption is that this is probably harder than for full-time applicants because there are fewer slots, Georgetown has the best part-time program, and the individuals that applied part-time probably already live in DC and wouldn't be likely to not attend after being accepted. I'm feeling desperate here.
Do I have any hope of getting of the Preferred Waitlist as a part-timer??

Hmm, looking at LSN and a TON of people were waitlisted today. It might be harder to get in off of the WL this cycle than I originally thought.

Joining the preferred waitlist crowd. Submitted 1/22, UR1 2/6, decision today. LSAT and GPA between 25th and median, URM. Will be withdrawing.
