Based on last year's thread, it looked like some people's Residency/Demographic section did change slightly (semicolon here, apt. # there), but it doesn't seem like this correlated to acceptances in the end. I'd say it's probably just random.
Also based on last year's thread, it looks like a few people (one person who was FR1 AND FR2, *shudder*) were accepted via phone call the Wednesday before the date mentioned in the FR2 email. Then people found out via status checker (dings, WLs, and acceptances) on Thursday.

I know I'm late to the party, but for the sake of stats (because they're spiffy): I got accepted on 12/10, and I had a 3.78/169.

So far rejection emails have usually come before 10AM PST, correct?
Every time we make it past 10 with no news I feel relieved. We survived another morning, and for the rest of the day any news will probably be good news, I hope. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

If you're on FR2, I don't believe you'll hear anything but good news before March 8.coriander wrote:So far rejection emails have usually come before 10AM PST, correct?

I guess that makes sense... and that means that no news is bad news.HawkeyeGirl wrote:If you're on FR2, I don't believe you'll hear anything but good news before March 8.coriander wrote:So far rejection emails have usually come before 10AM PST, correct?

Yeah, but I don't think that the good news starts until a day or two before 3/8 anyway. So really don't worry until 3/7 AM, by 3/7 PM its time to hit the bars.coriander wrote:I guess that makes sense... and that means that no news is bad news.HawkeyeGirl wrote:If you're on FR2, I don't believe you'll hear anything but good news before March 8.coriander wrote:So far rejection emails have usually come before 10AM PST, correct?

I think the earliest people started hearing last year and on FR1 was the Weds before the deadline, so don't worry about it til next Wedscoriander wrote:I guess that makes sense... and that means that no news is bad news.HawkeyeGirl wrote:If you're on FR2, I don't believe you'll hear anything but good news before March 8.coriander wrote:So far rejection emails have usually come before 10AM PST, correct?

That's good advice. Thanks. I'll probably hit the bars either way, though. I hope the FR2 people on this thread can be happy drunk instead of sad drunk on 3/7.

I'm 169 (third try)/4.14 and non-URM. I was in the wave of acceptences by the dean (not committee review).Hopefullyfuturelaw wrote:No problem. Thanks for the info. Kind of realized that myself, but just wondering why they haven't told me already.BigZuck wrote:Don't mean to be cruel but probably. For the most part Berk seems to look for higher numbers if non-URM. How bad you want Berk doesn't seem to matter to them.Hopefullyfuturelaw wrote:Should I just expect a ding? Berkeley was one of my top choices, but haven't heard anything. UR 1/7 and never got FR. 169 3.9x non-URM. Wrote a Why Berk also.
I think Berkeley definitely cares more about softs than some top schools (though you still have to have T-14 competitive numbers). It doesn't seem that there is an automatic accept/reject number formula - many people with very high LSATS are often rejected from Berkeley.

I just looked on LSN for last year and saw 9 rejections on March 2nd (probably the Friday equivalent to today) and then a mixed batch of about 20 decisions on March 7th and 8th. I guess maybe those March 2nd people were not FR2, based on your comment, but it still scares me. Good luck to everyone today.

I feel like there are at least what like 300-400 in FR2? With 15% of that being TLS, thats at least 45 - 60 peeps!HawkeyeGirl wrote:I think there are only a handful of us left...So lonely in FR2 landManOfTheMinute wrote:WTF is this, the yale thread? Monday through Friday posts are all on one page.

Re: Berkeley c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
Going off of memory, I think Dean Tom in the TLS interview said there were approx 700 folks on FR? I'd bet the vast majority, call it 500-550 were in FR1, only leaving 150-200 people left, then * 15% = 22-30 TLSers... Add in the fact that we know we're not gonna hear anything til next week makes for a pretty lame threadManOfTheMinute wrote:I feel like there are at least what like 300-400 in FR2?
