My status checker says Decision rendered via email, BUT I DON'T HAVE AN EMAIL FROM THEM!!!! There's nothing in my listed e-mail's inbox or junk folder and the "decision letter retrieval system" login brought me to a page that talks about when to expect decisions, but no decision.

Does anyone else who heard from them have words of wisdom? I'm out of ideas about ways I could have screwed up. I'm planning on calling in the morning.

Hmmmm...Did the checker just update today? Johann didn't announce that any decisions were going out today, so if the checker changed today, I would guess that it's an error. If it changed last week though, that should mean you're in. If so, congrats!

ETA: Just looked at your stats and it doesn't look like you'd be competitive for the scholly, unfortunately. But I'd call them in the morning since no one else on here seems to have the same issue. Let us know what happens, if you don't mind.

could it be a deferral to RD? i got my decision on a friday, and first i got an e-mail saying congrats and then the e-mail telling me i could check my status. the first e-mail mentioned that it might take until 6pm monday before i got the second e-mail/was able to log in. this was all in the middle of the night for me, so i'm not sure what my status checker looked like before the second e-mail but if it changed before then it could explain the "decision by e-mail" with no e-mail?

Good question. I would imagine administrators have different working days/hour than professors/students. I would hope they would at least be working until the 21st, but maybe not? If not, I think I need to find a new career as a college administrator.
