Does the normal status checker change in advance? Im leaving my apartment to go home for a few days for break, and I'd love to get an acceptance from Mich. before New Years. If the checker doesn't change this is going to be a long wait. I'm not even sure if they are going to mail it here or to my permanent address. All well, c'est la vie.

They should mail it to whatever you listed as your current address. I set up mail forwarding while I'm home for break, but one admissions packet has already slipped through the cracks and ended up at my apartment... USPS ftw.

Oh God man I know what you mean, I won't even bother doing that. If I tried my mailman would somehow find a way to sell my acceptance or denial for a profit. I'm still convinced this guy stole a care package of mine.

Well I guess I'll just have to hope I either get in today or come back to an awesome surprise if I'm fortunate.

This is only if you have not been accepted correct? Or now are our attempts to find out via ASW not worthwhile?

Not accepted as in not accepted yet or as in denied? I think (hope) that it just is a measure they developed to prevent rampant ASW-checking so people actually wait to get the package in the mail.

I suppose people who haven't been accepted yet.... Since I'm guessing if you were denied you would never have access to ASW anyway[/quote]
Alright, but we still expect that if you've been admitted, you'll be able to access the ASW even before your package arrives? Or did they probably change that too?

Yup, just tried it and it appears that they are just re-routing you to the status check. Real subtle, Michigan, we get it.

At least a re-route is a lot less distressing than a giant mass of red text.

I got really excited when I saw the early Nov. status checker with similar numbers getting in, and even more excited when I didn't immediately see red text..but then I realized I had just been redirected to the status checker... Womp, Womp.

Yea I got mine on the 7th, it's likely we'll be waiting until the new year.

What makes this worse for me is my old roommate overslept after I talked to him about giving me a ride to the airport before we were supposed to leave. Left late, missed my flight, now might be stuck out here for Christmas.



Although this Christmas would be a lot less lonely if I manage to snuggle up next to my TV with a Mich acceptance. I know you're reading these forums random Michigan adcom, admit me out of empathy damnit!

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm stuck at my school for Christmas+New Years, lol. Supposed to be graduating in a week and a half so I had a bunch of things to take care of. Hopefully Michigan admits us both out of empathy, haha.
