I deposited at another school a few weeks ago. Will this prevent me from being able to deposit at WUSTL as well if I am accepted off the wait list at a later date?

You're allowed to be on the waitlist, but if they let you in off the waitlist you gotta withdraw from the other school right when you know.cartercl wrote:I deposited at another school a few weeks ago. Okay. So are you saying I have to withdraw from the other school before I decide to deposit at WUSTL? Or are you saying I have to withdraw even if I decide not to attend WUSTL?Hannibal wrote:You're allowed to be on the waitlist, but if they let you in off the waitlist you gotta withdraw from the other school right when you know.cartercl wrote:I deposited at another school a few weeks ago. Withdraw when you decide to take the offer from WUSTL. When they let people in off waitlists they give you a short time to accept.cartercl wrote:Okay. Threw down the deposit as well... will basically be deciding between WUSTL and GW over the next week, leaning GW due to my East coast bias...

Also deposited a couple days ago. Looks like I'll end up doing the WUSTL thing barring some extreme WL movement.

I saw your LSN profile. You can probably LOCI your way into all of your waitlisted schools. Waitlist doesn't mean you won't get a scholarship. Once you're in it seems to go based off your numbers pending $ still being available.coreno16 wrote:Deposited yesterday as well. Still throwing around the UIUC, UMN decision.

Now that the first deposit deadline has passed, does anyone predict WL movement in the next week or two, or do you think we'll need to wait until the "refundable deadline" on May 1st?

Re: WUSTL 2011 Cycle
I know that for everyone riding the waitlist, the journey is probably just beginning. Obviously take all of this with a grain of salt because it only offers a limited perspective on where things stand, but here is some early information from LSN:
There are six people have declared that they will be attending.
There are probably over 100 people who have been accepted but haven't indicated their intentions. *I imagine that many put down deposits at WUSTL, but could be picked up off of waitlists elsewhere or take another offer somewhere else.
There are over 50 people who were accepted, but have withdrawn.
There are over 10 people who were waitlisted, but have since withdrawn.
It looks like WUSTL started going to the waitlist in late April last year, just before their May 1st refund deadline. If withdrawals continue throughout this month, then perhaps we could see some movement begin in the week or two leading up to May 1st.
Good luck to everyone on the waitlist...I'm right there with you.

Yeah, but you shouldn't have waited. You cost yourself tens of thousands in $ if you wanted these schools. Better get on it, muchcacho!coreno16 wrote:Thanks for this.
