I am in the same position as most of you it seems like. 3.25 GPA and 162 LSAT, and just received that same "you will receive a letter in 2-4 weeks" response. I am not expecting to get into GMU bc the GPA is so high, and if they were going to accept me I don't think that they would be doing it so soon. Hate to say it but doesn't look good.

When did you apply?

Hm, well I didn't get my mail from Dec 11-15 so it may be sitting in my mailbox at school. Either way, we're over-analyzing the shit out of this haha.

I was wondering, not like any of you know any more than I do but it's fun to speculate while we're waiting, does it help your chances to be receiving a decision during the first wave of waitlist/rejections? As in, am I more likely to be waitlisted rather than rejected since I applied so early and am in the first wave of "non-acceptances" if that makes any sense.

Last year with very similar numbers they WL'd me, but don't remember when I applied - I don't think til at least Jan.

My application was completed in early november, so i guess we will see... not expecting much but not ruling it out either still. I think a waitlist or rejection are most likely tho bc i have not got a phone call

Yea my status checker updated on 1/4/2010 with this crap.

You should expect to receive a decision letter in the mail in two to four weeks. Please note that applicants' requests for decisions via phone or e-mail will not be met.

Same. I think it just changed today. I applied back when the app first opened and was complete not long after.

Status checker updated yesterday (1/7) to decision mailed. I'm a long shot at George Mason, my LSAT is below 25% (although my GPA is over 75% and I'm a non-traditional (=very old).
