I just received my acceptance letter! I really didn't expect this given that I'm not a WA resident, my average LSAT score is 163 and my GPA is 3.26. Needless to say, I'm SO EXCITED!!!

I applied on October 17 and went complete on November 12. Also, my high LSAT is 165.

To relieve your concerns, and eliminate a need to contact the Financial Aid office on Monday, the deadline for FAFSA is 2/15, and for applicants who completed a FAFSA as of 2/12 and listed UW, they received this email. I agree, this has nothing to do with being admitted, which is supported by "..or are admitted to the UW." This is standard procedure by the FA office.

Just for anyone who might have been as freaked out as I was upon reading this: in order to receive priority consideration for financial aid at UW your FAFSA has to be received by Feb. 28, not Monday.

2010-11 Financial Aid
"The 2010-11 FAFSA on the Web is available as of January 1, 2010. The Priority Filing Deadline for 2010-11 is February 28, 2010. Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be transmitted/sent by February 15 and must be dated as received by the federal processory by February 28, 2010. You must list the "University of Washington-Seattle", Code #003798 in Step 6." - From UW Website

Since people on this site are all about correcting other people, what I meant by "deadline" on 2/15 was your FAFSA app had to be completed and submitted for transmission by 2/15/10, after which UW allows a two week period for your app to be marked "received" by FAFSA. This does not mean you have until 2/28/10 to submit your FAFSA (priority consideration). However, the issue we were discussing wasn't about the date, rather, it was about the email sent by the FA office on Friday and if that meant one was admitted, which it does not.

So on LSN now, there are two 160's ~3.5. Last year on LSN, only two 160s (not including URM) were admitted, both with 3.8.

I wonder if this is just a SSS LSN thing, or if the new Dean has a different set of criteria.

I really am hoping they get a good chunk of their responses out this week. Looking at LSN, this time last year, a number of responses went out 2/10-2/26, so I'm gonna cross my fingers. Once I hear from UW, I can actually start planning where I'll be in September so...please adcom, make things easy and just accept me.

This guy just got in (well just posted, he got in last Monday) with a 3.33 164. It's always encouraging to see a fellow sub 25% GPAer get in. Looks like he already got into BC ED though.

I thought part of the early decision game was you had to immediately withdraw from the other schools but can't say I'm not glad to see his numbers getting accepted at UW.
