Decision rendered on the status checker and then snail mail. A friend of mine was accepted a few weeks ago with similar numbers and he submitted around the same time as me. It seems to be a random pattern for the most part. Just wait it out!Headybrah wrote:thats good news how did you find out ?

Received my package today $66m over 3 years. It takes a little of the sting out not getting into U of I law yesterday. I'm interested in entertainment law so I need to really consider Loyola. Going in March to check it out.

Decision Rendered today!!! My numbers are on the fence though. Is it safe to say that I've been accepted or am I being too optimistic? 25th LSAT, above 75th GPA.

Decision rendered.
GPA 25th, LSAT above median, less than 75th
Hopefully it's good news.

Re: Loyola LA - Has anyone heard back?
Hey everyone. Quick question here for those who have been admitted about something Jannell Roberts (associate dean of admissions) said in the Q&A with TLS.
Discussing personal statements..."An applicant who indicates his/her reasons for considering Loyola (specialties, programs or faculty of interest) will certainly have this noted as a plus for their file. If an applicant elects not to outline his specific reasons for Loyola, s/he should certainly detail her/his interest in law school. Applicants who do neither may have the Committee question the seriousness and thoughtfulness about why he/she is applying to law school."
My personal statement was of the "overcoming adversity defining who I am" variety. I only mention how my experience has given me a new perspective/determination that will help me in law school. Did those who have been accepted specifically detail their interest in Loyola or interest in studying law? Thanks in advance.

Re: Loyola LA - Has anyone heard back?
I was accepted last week with $$. My personal statement was similar to yours, overcoming adversity and becoming who I am today. I then transitioned into how this shaped my desire practice public interest-type law when I graduate. I finished by discussing Loyola's Public Interest Law Foundation and how it fits with my goals.Foosters Galore wrote:Hey everyone.
