Congrats! Are you going for sure of will you wait out the rest of your apps?
MN for free + the relatively low COL in the twin cities=World Domination for eas331!

That sounds, more or less, like the best case scenario for me. I would be happy just to get in at the U of MN, and with a full scholarship don't think I could pass it up for any other school. Likewise, my family would be pumped...
Thanks for the info, and again, big CONGRATS!

I don't know! I've gotten some other nice acceptances, and will probably want to see what happens with scholarships other places, but this scholarship at the U may tip me over the edge!

In... Very quick phone call. Said scholarship would be in the mail. Didn't mention Amount, so probably not that great.

I'm so jealous of all of you who are getting phone calls. My status checker updated to UR 12/4 (after being UR 11/9 or so for a few weeks). I hope this is good news for a soon-to-come phone call...
I'm neurotically checking my phone for missed calls every few minutes even though it's sitting right next to me... come on UMN, let me in!

At least we're not alone...but it's weird--since applying I've gradually moved Minnesota up my list in my head to where now I feel like it's a make-or-break decision even though I've applied to tougher schools.

Oh. I read nice as nine... so in my head you had 8 besides UMN. My bad. Still congrats.
And congrats to everyone else!

Technically the guy I spoke to didn't come out and tell me my scholarship amount. He told me I had one but no specifics, and right before we hung up I asked him. And it is good. So don't lose hope on that front.

I got accepted by phone today.
I was expecting to get YP'd. I did not write a Why UM? essay and my numbers are higher than the typical admit. Although UM is not my top choice, I would definitely consider going with a large scholarship.

Im with you Robin. All these people are getting acceptances at WUSTL, Minn, and BU. I want to get in so bad. An acceptance would ease a lot of anxiety.

In but I missed the call and called back. I only spoke briefly but scholarship wasn't mentioned, for those of you with $$$ did they come out and tell you that you would get a scholarship?

This leads me to believe they just don't mention scholarships in Voicemail.

On the live phone call this afternoon, a scholarship was not mentioned. I believe that, with my numbers, I'll probably get at least something. I guess I'll see when the envelope arrives.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
