Re: michigan 2010 applicants
Does anyone know (based on previous years) whether Michigan sends out scholarship offers with the acceptance package or whether scholarships are only awarded later in the cycle? The admitted students website seems to indicate that scholarship offers will start going out in February, but I saw some activity last year around December regarding the Darrow. Has anyone ever received a scholarship along with the offer package?

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
Last year, I seem to remember Darrow invitees getting things either along with acceptances or shortly after. Other scholarship stuff went out quite a bit later. I wouldn't expect to see it with your acceptance.ankit wrote:Does anyone know (based on previous years) whether Michigan sends out scholarship offers with the acceptance package or whether scholarships are only awarded later in the cycle? The big Darrow invite thread is dated Dec. 10 for last year. I don't think anyone should expect news this early.

What kind of numbers does it take to get full tuition at Michigan?

Re: michigan 2010 applicants
Just from taking a quick look at LSN it looks like its either 175+ with at least a 3.6, with some lower LSATs but much higher GPAs getting them to. So your best is that or 4 8 15 16 23 42.Blazers4Life wrote:What kind of numbers does it take to get full tuition at Michigan?

how do you get a fee waiver?hopefulundergrad wrote:Sent in my app on Friday for both summer and fall consideration. I received a fee waiver and have an LSAT above their 75th so here's to hoping. I would be very content with spending the next 3 years in Ann Arbor.

Re: michigan 2010
You get one automatically through LSAC or, if you think you have high GPA and LSAT enough to deserve one based on merit, you write the admissions office an email to ask for one. If you write, make sure you mention all your stats in the email.ColumbiaGirl1984 wrote:how do you get a fee waiver?hopefulundergrad wrote:Sent in my app on Friday for both summer and fall consideration. Hm. People who are in already, did you opt for summer start? Has anyone received a decision who checked fall only?

+1. I've been in the first batch most places (angry glare at Duke for never inviting me to PT), and watching everyone else get in with similar stats as me at Michigan is worrisome and promising at the same time. My opinion of Michigan has changed a lot since I applied, and if I had felt about it the way I do now when I applied a month ago, I definitely would have written a Why Michigan. That, and procrastination of a paper has greatly increased my visits to this site and LSN today.Helmholtz wrote:Wouldn't mind getting one of those Michigan acceptances sometime soon.....

As Helm said though, Congratulations to all the acceptances!

Congrats to you all as well. Hopefully Michigan will be showing some splitter love this cycle. I saw that last year they rejected a 174 3.3
Complete as of 11/6 and hoping to get in.
