Who here is set on SMU? That is, if accepted who is 100% going to attend this fall?

For me, it is going to be a very close choice between SMU and UH, assuming i get in at SMU. It might come down to COL.

I'm in the same boat. I'm from Houston but I wouldn't mind being in Dallas for a while. It really comes down to money.

That and if UH ever gets around to accepting people again.

I'm from H-Town as well and honestly, at this juncture, I just want to get into either.

Holds at SMU, UT, GULC and have been in review at UH since 12/18/09.

I was held at USC and Michigan...then dinged.

A part of me just wants to retake the LSAT.

i was just looking thru last year's thread... some ppl that got DR's were admits, so i guess there's still some kind of hope for those that had a status change today.

I'm making an educated guess that 1/26 are admits and 1/27 are rejects (and obviously those on hold have already got their message).

do we have any stats, or even anecdotal evidence from last year's thread to back that up? I mean, I like the theory, I was 1/26, but I am just wondering what your reasoning is.

I was application completed 1/27 and now decision rendered 1/28 so I'm really hoping that's not the case... On the TLS rankings SMU has such a large 25%-75% range, I'd like to think I would at least have been held for further review (especially since I wasn't complete until mid-Jan anyway). Plus I'm a legacy if that counts for anything???

I know this is a reach as well, but it seemed like last year they had some staffing issues and the cycle wasn't handled exactly as it's designed.

3.23 / 164, so my GPA is well below median, but I interviewed with them, and am a serious legacy. So there is that.
