Looking forward to another day of no calls from more schools that I applied to.

I'm so ready to spend the next 4 months not hearing back from places like Stanford.

This will be brutal. I almost hate LSP for classifying me as an "Admit" for Stanford, when I know in reality my chances aren't great. It's giving me unrealistic hope...

You have at least as good a shot as anyone hanging out in this thread. And I too hate LSP for its generous classifications.

Question for all you people who probably don't know--should I send in transcripts to LSAC from this semester if it raises my GPA from a 3.89 to a 3.91? In addition, it costs $20.

You are right, I have no idea. And normally I would say it wouldn't matter, as .02 isn't much. However, the psychological difference between 3.89 and 3.91 seems to be pretty big to me. So I would.

LSAC bumped my gpa up exactly .01 to a 3.9. I have to say, I like thinking of myself as a 3.9 much better than a 3.89.

Yeah. Psychology is a weird thing. Because either number is above the SLS median but below the 75th, so you'd think it wouldn't matter. But I think you all are right. Coughing up twenty dollars now..

I'm stuck at 3.89 because I took my final college class pass/fail. Got an A. Would be a 3.91 instead. Balls.

Thanks Lysis, and congrats to everyone else getting calls today! A couple more details, now that I can think a bit more clearly: she said the packet had already been mailed to my address, and that there would be lots more info on the way.

And the call came from a blocked number--no helpful PA area code. I'm blaming this for my incoherence on the phone.

Haha...I was sharing your pain on the Yale thread while you were commiserating with me here. Glad to know I'm not alone. (They killed Socrates for a reason. Crazy dude.)

Thanks for the extra info marbletop. I was waiting for a 650 call, and my parents call me on blocked lines, so that would have been awkward.

Phone call from Dean Faye Deal was from "Unknown Number" and she said an admission packed was in the mail. I live in SF so should be getting it tomorrow or Monday at latest.

I have good - but not blow-you-out-of-the-water - softs: editor of college newspaper, helped found an environmental non-profit in DC. I think my PS was pretty good and I had good recs.

My real stats: 161/169, 3.92.
SLS Index is 3.4.
