ZOMG! So should I be obsessively refreshing my gmail or running home to the mail at 3:00 like a little kid scared that his parents will see his report card?

Yeah, I did that. I am sorry though, it was a joke (in poor taste?).thorntll wrote:...Then I don't forgive you?hopefulundergrad wrote:Interestingly enough, I didn't write this.hopefulundergrad wrote:I am a liar and a raging douche and I give my deepest apologies.

Re: NYU 2010
its just that some of us are dying with the anticipation. i was up in bed last night for hours trying to convince myself that if i have to move away from the city at least my apartment in durham or whatever will probably be nice, and that learning to drive again won't be that hard. if you had let it go on longer than five minutes it would've been mean, but honestly it was kind of funny once the heart palpitations died down. no worrieshopefulundergrad wrote:Yeah, I did that. It's not in poor taste simply because of how it affected one or two people in this instance. It's in poor taste because the whole "false alarm" gag is tired and completely lacking in creativity in a forum like this. The fact that it's likely to work on someone adds an element of insensitivity to the immaturity.
I remember this site issuing mass warnings of insta-bans to anyone who pulled this gag when the LSAT scores were coming out.

Lol, just my take on whether it's in poor taste and why. It's not that I think any less of you. We all do silly things when we're bored/stressed.hopefulundergrad wrote:LieutKaffee wrote:It's not in poor taste simply because of how it affected one or two people in this instance. I "fell" for the gag for as long as it took me to read the rest of the thread. The fact that it was from someone I see on here a lot and who has so many posts definitely added credibility and made it more effective.

He will get his comeuppance when we are all in and he isn't (he must wait 1 day more than us).

Re: NYU 2010
so, aside from pranks, when is the consensus regarding the start of decisions, or at least the start of the check-the-mailbox-with-NYU-anticipation period?
and i could be wrong, but it seems that NYU issues RD decisions along with ED decisions in even its first waves?
and yes, i'm probably better off not knowing the answer to these questions...

It's tough to predict since it can vary year to year. I don't think it'd be out of the question for people to start hearing back by the end of next week, though.jasonportwood wrote:so, aside from pranks, when is the consensus regarding the start of decisions, or at least the start of the check-the-mailbox-with-NYU-anticipation period?

It is actually baba ghanoush, though yes, it does look more like hummus. As for the Med. food at your wedding, definitely.dms87 wrote:So, I'm guessing this has been discussed before........but isn't that hummus in your avatar?babaghanouj wrote:I would rather see you and your single digit post count banned. Re: NYU 2010
Here's a question posed to the collective TLS knowledge...
Does anyone know of a precedent for an ED applicant being rejected with numbers comparable to 172/3.62? I need more reasons to stress out, please.
