Sorry, this may be splitting hairs...did they say that there was a handful left to be made, or that there were [already] only a handful of offers?

I guess I've been clinging to some crazy hope that the June 15 date would create some movement. Also, second to hoping that someone else hears from H, I have been waiting for some more folks to hear from S. Ug. I am trying to remain optimistic. Reading through the rest of the waitlist threads, it seems like many final decisions have yet to shake out - why would schools keep so many students on their waitlists, if they did not anticipate that?

Again, I know nothing, I'm just a little sad. And ready for all of this to be over.

For sure. I really don't even think about it anymore. I'd still accept if they offered, but I don't think about it as obsessively as I did the first 2 weeks in May.

I'm still sort of obsessing, I'll admit it. I need to convince myself not to take last year's LSN as necessarily predictive of this year's. I'm also thrilled w/ my current school; I just feel like I am not making the transition mentally while still holding out a little bit of hope for H.

I wish we had any sort of indication, positive or negative. Maybe I should just take the hint from Scout's phone call?

To be honest, I don't think they would keep people on the list if they foresaw now movement whatsoever - they're not trying to be cruel . I'm sure they're anxious to be done with it also.

I am still hoping, but I've gotten to a place where I am happy with where I'm going and will be ok with either outcome. If accepted, there is the real problem of logistics. The later we get into the summer, and the more committed I become to my current school, it will be harder and harder to make the switch. Then again, it's Harvard - might just say fuck it and go haha. It seems like there are still so many people on the waitlist with no denials going out. I really wonder why they would do that, because I would expect that many people will not be dropping of this late in the game.

OMG. I still don't believe this actually happened. Toby Stock just called me about ten minutes ago. He asked me if I were still interested in Harvard despite my deposit at NYU. After I said that I would jump at that chance, he said, "So let's do it then!"
