Hoping they just say that to deter applicants from trying. Hard to go there with more money from higher ranked schools with lower COL..
exactly! i got full at iowa and 2/3 at unc, both are cheaper to live anyway but I only got half at GW.

Way to go! If you don't mind me asking, any scholarship mentioned? I'm in the same boat as you, split-wise.

But isn't DC a much more attractive market than Iowa? I don't condone the stinginess, but kind of makes sense imo
I'd say yeah. DC area is more popular than Iowa will ever be + DC has the gov't jobs and all that jazz as well.

of course! I just was wishing out loud a little. I understand it, but i still wish GW was more generous since their COL is so high and their the 2nd best school in their market, albeit it is like a top 3 largest market.

Just applied! Ready to wait it out with some of you.
As of right now I'm at 163/3.55 but my GPA should go up after fall transcript comes in and I expect my LSAT to move up after the December scores come in

Accepted 12/8 with no scholarship information and no acceptance box yet from the mail. Has anyone who was accepted on 12/8 received their box yet?

No and got the package today with no scholarship. Could it be coming later? LSAT 25th percentile, GPA 75th percentile

Anyone planning on going to the Open House thing on February 8th? March 31st for the preview day doesn't work for me.
Emailed the office for more details on the open house though.

Mine was in the email.
Maybe call and ask because that's strange.

i didn't even realize they had an open house then! =o that would be a much more doable option for me actually. let us know what they say!
Actually, do you mind linking where you found the open house info? i'm looking on their website but can't find it. Thank you!

Both are within the admitted students portal, so make sure you're logged on there!
Note about it at the top of the preview day page -
https://my.law.gwu.edu/AdmittedStudents ... w-Day.aspx
then the details of an event in DC the same day are on the admitted students gathering page -
https://my.law.gwu.edu/AdmittedStudents ... rings.aspx
So I'm assuming they're the same thing, but I was emailing the office to see if there was any organized tours/class visits at the school that day or if it needs to be registered as an individual visit... Either way I'm making my visit that day haha
