My status went from 'Under review' to 'Initial review complete- No decision made.' That's my current status and it's been that way for about a week.brownellewoods wrote:Does everyone's status basically say "under review" at this point (assuming their priority deadline is March 15 like FSU)? Took me roughly 48 hours for that transition but I've been stuck on it since the beginning of the month -- not OP though.brownellewoods wrote:I mean how long did it take you to go from "under review" to "initial review complete" ? I had a friend who got accepted two years back who had amazing stats... they let him know mid April. This sucks because I have a seat deposit of $500 due around that timeMOLaw wrote:SameAtm94 wrote:Took me roughly 48 hours for that transition but I've been stuck on it since the beginning of the month -- not OP though.brownellewoods wrote:I mean how long did it take you to go from "under review" to "initial review complete" ? I qualify for LSAC need waivers, so we all can agree I'm too poor for this seat deposit game

I'm assuming that is Stetson. $500 is ridiculous ugh.brownellewoods wrote:I had a friend who got accepted two years back who had amazing stats... they let him know mid April. YEP haha. I really like Stetson! They offer their students a lot of opportunities (being able to TA, they have an honors program, Stetson alumni really stick together etc) but its sooooooo expensive and I will be paying sticker! More of a reason as to why UF is my #1 choice.brownellewoods wrote:I had a friend who got accepted two years back who had amazing stats... they let him know mid April. SOOOO EXPENSIVE. UF is definitely my number one choice. Even with a scholly to Stetson, UF at sticker is cheaper.brownellewoods wrote:YEP haha. I really like Stetson! RIGHT? I see people picking stetson over UF because Stetson offered them a 5k/per yr scholarship
.... like ... if only you did the math. If I do get stuck going to Stetson at sticker, I'm going to tell myself at least its not UM at sticker which is 47k/yr ... for freaking what? I honestly feel like UM is overrated unless you're sticking in the miami area.

I would be very very hesitant of attending Stetson at or near sticker price.

Re: UF c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Just got an email saying to expect a decision by mid-April at the latest. I'm going to email admissions tomorrow to withdraw my app because I don't plan on forfeiting my deposit wherever I go. Waiting to hear back about my scholarship app at FSU and then I'll decide between W&L and FSU. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

When are W&L and FSU's deposits due? Honestly think you should hold off a bit longer. I went to UF's ASD on Friday and will be attending and I encourage you (as well as any others) to keep waiting for a decision. The atmosphere of that school and its students was amazing.

W&L is April 15 and FSU is April 17. I'm just ready to commit somewhere and start apartment hunting and everything haha. I might hold out another week or two, but I'm just gonna play it by ear going forward.Houzy wrote:WamBamThankYouMaam wrote:Just got an email saying to expect a decision by mid-April at the latest. I got the same e-mail. Accepted by FSU and GWU, so I'm not sure it's worth risking those waiting for UF to send me something more concrete than an e-mail that tells me it's possible that they accept or reject by by mid-April. Good luck to everyone!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
