someone in this thread mentioned they have a new dean or something, so probably no one knows for sure.nimbus cloud wrote:Oh okay. Shorter than I thought.proteinshake wrote:last year they actually limited it to three sentences. so I would say a paragraph should be fine.nimbus cloud wrote:Now that Why Cornell? is required in the application, how long do you think they expect it to be?

I took a typical why x essay and shortened it so it was at max capacitynimbus cloud wrote:Oh okay. For those who have already interviewed in this cycle, what's been the turnaround time between completing your interview and hearing a decision from Cornell? I interviewed last Wednesday, and am just curious as to when I should potentially expect to hear something. Would it likely be a matter or days? Weeks? Months?

I'm the only person who has posted who has gotten in RD. I interviewed nov 5 and got the call nov 8Aquinas wrote:For those who have already interviewed in this cycle, what's been the turnaround time between completing your interview and hearing a decision from Cornell? D'oh! I was somehow under the impression that lots more posters had received acceptances already. Looks like I must be mixing up my P's and Q's. Thanks for clearing that up, though, and congrats on your admission!Keilz wrote:I'm the only person who has posted who has gotten in RD. For anyone wondering, I called admissions and asked if it was all right for me to write an addendum about why Cornell instead of using the 1000 character prompt, and they said it was fine.

Also, anyone have thoughts on listing all schools they've applied to? Not sure if I should just leave it blank or list them.

I think it's better to list only a few cornell's peer school and that's what I didstudyingeveryday wrote:Also, anyone have thoughts on listing all schools they've applied to? Not sure if I should just leave it blank or list them.

I applied on 9/20 and my "application is ready for review" since 10/17.
No other updates. So weird.

Is it normal if I completed my interview a week ago but my status checker still says interview requested?

Yeah mind stayed at interview requested even after Dean Ingram called, it didn't change until I received the email a couple days laterlsa16 wrote:Is it normal if I completed my interview a week ago but my status checker still says interview requested?

Anyone know when the first acceptances went out last year?

So has anyone who submitted in early November not gotten an interview request yet? Maybe its paranoid I'm beginning to think I may have been YPed... Sucks as I'd be pretty excited to go here under the right circumstances.

Damn I didn't even think of that because everywhere else I've applied else seems to get down to business so quick. A quick check confirms I'm not either. Thanks!Rich Uncle Skeleton wrote:I applied in October and I'm not even under review yetBob loblaw law blog wrote:So has anyone who submitted in early November not gotten an interview request yet? Don't let it get to you. My status didn't change from ready for review to under review until after I interviewed, and then it didn't change to complete until the day before I got the acceptance call. Cornell just doesn't like updating that status, I guess.Bob loblaw law blog wrote:Damn I didn't even think of that because everywhere else I've applied else seems to get down to business so quick. Just got an acceptance call from Dean Ingram! I did my interview about a week ago. The status checker still says interview requested.

Was a number visible or was caller ID blocked? I am on a time schedule similar to yours and missed a call earlier with no caller ID so I can't call back...probably just wishful thinkingshoparoundthecorner wrote:Just got an acceptance call from Dean Ingram!
