My status checker still says complete, but the date changed. Is that normal?

I also submitted the "Different Kind of Lawyer" essay which I guess is similar to a "Why NLDS?"Torres1893 wrote:I submitted a why NDLS essay.vcap180 wrote:Did pretty much all of you submit the optional essays?

Yes, I did. A few days after acceptance. It's actually pretty nice, nothing over the top but the quality of the paper/ink/material is top notch.Torres1893 wrote:Has anyone got their acceptance packet yet?

I read that the DKL essay is essentially a rehashed diversity statement so I didn't do it even tho I'm a URMcrookedsmile wrote:I also submitted the "Different Kind of Lawyer" essay which I guess is similar to a "Why NLDS?"Torres1893 wrote:I submitted a why NDLS essay.vcap180 wrote:Did pretty much all of you submit the optional essays?

I did mention being a "Different Kind of Lawyer" twice in my why NDLS essay.

So on my status checker it says decision made on 1/17/17 and today is 1/18/17 but I did not receive an email or anything else. Does this mean I got denied?

Towards the bottom of the status checker there is a section that says fees. If seat deposits are listed there then you got accepted. If nothing is there other than application fee then you more than likely got wait-listed or rejected.MAqee9898 wrote:So on my status checker it says decision made on 1/17/17 and today is 1/18/17 but I did not receive an email or anything else. They snail rejections?!? Why??? That does not make any sense. It's a waste of time and money - and it's somewhat cruel lol

Have been at app complete since 12/9. No movement (not even a date change) since.
Maybe it's because I wrote all of the possible essays, and that's just annoying for them to review. Either way, getting somewhat antsy.

Yeah, I've been at App Complete since 12/12 with nothing since then. I'm just resigning myself to them doing things on their own time.rozes wrote:Have been at app complete since 12/9. No movement (not even a date change) since.

Annoying too because they're one of the schools whose ASDs I really want to attend, and we're starting to get close to when I want to have everything booked.

All I see is Application Fee and that it was waived. I guess I got rejected even though I am above their 75% on both GPA and LSAT

Nah I did not do it. Do you think that would be the reason for their decision?Gitaroo_Dude wrote:Maybe you got wait listed then. I think so. They probably yield protected you since you didn't show interest or why you want to study at ND.MAqee9898 wrote:Nah I did not do it. That really sucks =(, so far ASU is the highest ranking school I got accepted to. Still waiting on top 14 schools, starting to get antsy and impatient

Is there anyone who was accepted, but did not receive an e-mail notification and/or their deposits did not in their status checker? I am holding out hope, but it does not look good based on all the admits in this thread getting e-mail notifications and deposits appearing in their status checker.

I've read that if you have decision made in the status checker, but no seat deposits or email then you more than likely got waitlisted or rejected and will get a small letter in the mail. But I also read on reddit where some guy got accepted, but didn't get the deposits/emails.daniel14 wrote:Is there anyone who was accepted, but did not receive an e-mail notification and/or their deposits did not in their status checker? I'm not really sure why you wouldn't write a "why ND" essay, though...it only takes like an hour or so but it can go a super long way...but if you're waitlisted, then I would definitely suggest writing a LOCI because above both 75ths should've been an auto-admit! Good luck!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
