Does the checker just stay "complete" or does it indicate when we go UR?

Okay just to update, I emailed them just to ask about my app being put on hold and apparently they just want to make sure I'm back on track after taking a semester off for my medical problems. I feel slightly better now.
But I'm also a million times more stressed out about my finals.

Even though you still have a relatively strong gpa and an LSAT way above their 75th? Geez - if they are scrutinizing undergrad records like that I may be in trouble lolamberb94 wrote:Okay just to update, I emailed them just to ask about my app being put on hold and apparently they just want to make sure I'm back on track after taking a semester off for my medical problems. Yeah, I had an entire semester of Ws so I guess they want to see more evidence that I can make good grades. But frankly, pulling off a 3.0 last semester with a brain lesion that I constantly had to miss class to get MRIs of proves hard work to me. I just hope they realize how much I've gone through to maintain a decent GPA.vcap180 wrote:Even though you still have a relatively strong gpa and an LSAT way above their 75th? Waiting eagerly! When should I expect to hear back? I sent it on 11/27.

It's a good question. I went complete 10/14 with LSAT and GPA > 75ths, but I haven't heard anything back. I haven't discerned a pattern in those already admitted (e.g. in-state vs out-of-state) except that they have numbers sufficient for admission. I think we have a bit of randomness at play, as always, with the admissions process. I'll be waiting with you!SeanORaff33 wrote:Waiting eagerly! When should I expect to hear back? I sent it on 11/27.
As a side note, I see you've got interest in PI work. If you're willing, PM me your thoughts on BC vs BU for PI work. I'm in a similar boat with that interest and having applied to both schools.

If I asked them about how one would amend their application to BU Bound, but then decided I didn't want to because I want to see if I can get scholarship money, have I already screwed myself by sending that email? Or should I write back and say never mind...

I was out of town last weekend and the packet was there when I got home Sunday. I got accepted on a Monday and left town Thursday so it arrived either Friday or Saturday if that helps...Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Awesome, thanks for the info!rizzlebizness wrote:Received my acceptance packet in the mail the other day. ED responses coming through is scary and exciting. I wonder if the fact that they are sending out RD roll overs means that their done with acceptances??? I guess we'll find out....
Sorry about your roll over Houzy! Good luck with RD.

For anyone interested, my status checker is updated at the top with:
"Thank you for applying to the Boston University Distinguished Scholar Binding Early Decision Program. We appreciate your enthusiasm for BU Law and the fact that you completed your application early. Although we are unable to offer you admission at this time, we are impressed with your qualifications and would like to hold your application for review during the regular admissions cycle. Please feel free to send any updates to your application to bulawadm@bu.edu. If you have updated transcripts they should be sent to CAS so that we will receive an updated CAS Law School Report."
My status now says: File on hold
and my status date changed to today

So what now for you ashrice13? I know money is a huge factor for most people (myself included). Is BU still your first choice?
Sorry guys (or gals?). You both are going to have excellent options, so try not to let it get to you.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
