Complete since 09/01 and no movement. Same LSAT score, lower GPA.

I had been wondering if my application was bad but WUSTL requested an interview the day I applied and I got accepted right away. Maybe they're waiting to see what the applicants pool looks like this year.

I also had my WUSTL interview a day or two after I submitted that app, and was accepted right away. Who knows what Vanderbilt is up to.

Any 1Ls (or 2/3Ls) remember when their scholly was offered? I've heard March, but SURELY NOT.

It's usually the 2nd/3rd week of February if I remember right. You can search last year's thread and find out.

But they're pretty formulaic about it. Plug your numbers into last year's LSN cycle and you'll probably get a pretty accurate idea of what you'll end up getting.

3L still available for questions. Make sure to quote one of my posts so I get a notification.

What are employment prospects like for those above median? If someone wanted a 101+ firm job in a reasonable market, for example, would they have good opportunities?

I figured it up that 58% of my class summered at a firm, either 101+ or smaller but pays market. Don't know how many got offers or how many will end up with firm jobs that didn't have a 2L SA. (Keep in mind that a lot of southern markets have no expectations of anything approaching 100% offers). I can pm you the breakdown of the data if you're interested. So median puts you in the ballpark of being able to land something, but obviously guarantees nothing.

Anyone submitting the law scholars application? I'm submitting one mainly so that the committee knows that I am a serious candidate because my score is below the median and I want to stand out

Where in general are their opportunities for summer associate positions and graduates? I love the program at Vandy, but am nervous about national placement.
As the poster above said, Vandy has a pretty good national reach because we don't really have a home market. Nashville is tough to get and somewhat restricted to people with serious ties. You won't have a hard time getting into any particular market because you went to Vandy. That said, it's easier to get to Chicago, for example, if you go to Northwestern. Or LA if you go to UCLA/USC. Where in particular are you interested in ending up?

I would love to end up in NYC or somewhere close to it. I am from Boston if you couldn't guess by my username
NYC is going to be the easiest market to get into at any T20 school, relatively speaking. More jobs, less grade-selective, etc. I'd focus on overall placement power and $$$ if you're just wanting NYC.

Thanks for the information.
