Today I saw a man wearing Michigan T-shirt in Shanghai downtown. I was so thrilled that I wanted to say hi to him, but I did not, for the fear of being treated as a psycho

Michigan has a funny thing for recommenders. Did anyone provide the full 3? This is what it says on the app page:
"List the names of your proposed recommenders. We require only one letter of recommendation, but encourage you to submit three."
It seems like normally the wording is "up to X", but they actually say "we encourage you to submit three" which seems a bit stronger.

Cool thanks, I'll keep the third in the wings. Its a work LOR so it would kind of have weird function in my app anyway. I'm not above using it as a last ditch effort if I feel the need to send an LOCITheodoreKGB wrote:If you have three, cool. As long as you have two, you should be fine. I wouldn't sweat it. And really, if you have three it might be better to save one for a LOCI in case you need it (because submitting less than three letters won't be the reason you're WL'ed/denied).

I agree. Not having the "under review" option is a bummer.basedvulpes wrote:so far not so exciting.
