Maybe they will let the remaining waitlist-ers cage fight for the last few spots.

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2014-2015
During an in person event, my comment was met with a sort of "So you would throw other WL'ers under the bus to get a spot here" response, and I was like like "Yeah, which way to that bus"

Got in a little while back off the waitlist but when my other top choice met the offer I realized my heart was there. Hope it goes to one of you and don't ever give up hope!

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2014-2015
Nothing yet. And I did not receive a confirmation email for receipt of LOCI/acceptance of summer waitlist from last week's email update. Did anyone get a email confirming G-town got yours? I'm guessing they don't bother at this point. I would call but I think everyone in admissions is probably out of town for the holiday.

Thanks!santoki wrote:Congrats! May i ask how they contacted you? And perhaps your numbers?carolinagirl723 wrote:In off the preferred waitlist!! Good luck to everyone still waiting!![]()
Sure! I received the feeler email around the end of May, then a feeler phone call a couple of days ago, followed by an admit email a couple of hours later. I didn't hear anything besides the standard "class is full" email in between those contacts. I'll PM you my numbers but I think showing a strong interest really carried me.

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2014-2015
Hi, just to give hope to all:
I applied to the PT and regular program.
I was rejected at Georgetown last year.
I got preferred WL this year.
In May, they called me asking to discuss the PT program, leaving a voicemail.
So I called them back and had an informal interview.
I was accepted 30 minutes later.
So for all you out there, don't take no for an answer. Tell them you're interested. Call them. Ask if you can get more information.
There's still hope. I know at least one person that has dropped out so far from the Gtown 2018 class. And, you know, I got rejected from Gtown last year.
Tell them to reconsider your application. That's what got me into GW and NYU this year after a WL or rejection. And I had an unconventional letter of Rec, which probably got me into Columbia this year (although, side note, maybe it was because they told me I would be accepted and then called me at the end of orientation and said they had no room and finally felt bad).
Make yourself stand out. Pursue heavy but with meaningful material (an essay about something law-oriented that fascinates you). Tell them you're committed. Personify your passion so it's palpable.
If I, a person that left law school in their first semester last year, can get in, anyone can. By anyone, I mean those that are on the fence of admissions but truly care.

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2014-2015
For what it's worth, I was on the regular WL and was dinged a couple weeks ago (it's somewhere in this thread). I asked to be reconsidered after hearing some other regular WLers asked to be reconsidered and got accepted earlier in the year. I was told the class was full and that reconsideration was not a possibility. They could be BSing me and letting me off nicely but just sharing what I was told.

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2014-2015
My update today was from Alison Spada. No new offers at this time but still a chance, says the next update will be by August 14th. Asks to confirm commitment to attend Georgetown if a spot becomes available. Assume this is the same email anyone else still waiting got?
