Davis admissions is awesome! That is all. They reply to all my emails within a couple of hours!! I don't even get this kind of response at my job from my own coworkers lol

With regards to tuition, I think this is the true number for 2015-2016: $47,904.

Agreed, that looks to be the one we should plan on as noted on that site: "Please note that the 2015-2016 tuition and fees figure listed here differ from the estimates posted on the Office of Budget & Institutional Analysis website. Students should use the above figures for planning purposes at this time." Still, to think that it can raise even more is frightening. I was reading that in 2000 the cost of yearly tuition was around 17K. :shock:

I was told that for year 2L and 3L they ONLY use FASFA for deciding the need based aid. Possibly not using the need access stuff(may have had parents taxes) people would qualify for more aid?

If you send an email to Dean Mercado, she will provide specifics for your scholarship plan, including how much you will be offered in loans. It is unfortunate the information is not on the website yet, but hopefully this helps in the meantime!

Hey! So I recently got off the wait list at UC Davis, and I'm wondering whether I should visit or not. They're only giving me a week to decide, and any round-trip flights between now and then are upwards of $630 from Chicago. Should I just call them instead of visiting? Should I even consider Davis at this point? My top options right now are Illinois and Iowa. Thanks!
