So far this year, they have released acceptances at the same times as last year so I think the same will hold true for these dates too.aherm006 wrote:Does anyone know when the next batch of acceptances should go out based on last years cycle? Legallyrose-
On this thread. Someone mentioned that UF is following a similar pattern and dates as last year, but this was definitely not a for sure date mark, just a trend.

No, but they keep sending me Prospective Student Newsletters; I'm on a whole 5 of 'em...I have a feeling they have looked at mine and have deemed me wanting and are just waiting to see what I am going to do about it. Best impress on my visit in a few weeks.

No clue, I havent seen an "I got in!" in awhile. I would have to bet they have filled their acceptance and are now waiting on seat deposits to see how many seats are left, then they will decide who they like the most, accept or waitlist. At least thats what I would do, but of course I'm diabolical.

I think UF's admissions protocol is very different from that of most law schools. They have a separate personal statement (which is annoying lol), extremely long decision making process for most people, and from what I understand, they award scholarships on a rolling basis.
I was admitted in mid-January and have been offered full rides to one peer school and two other schools ranked well above UF, yet I haven't heard anything about scholarship money. I know of some applicants with stats at or above both 75ths for UF who haven't been offered money.
I no get you UF.

Funny you say this. I have had the same experience. I am an instate student and I have already gotten into top-20 schools with a lot of scholarship money without negotiations yet. I called admissions yesterday asking if I have been awarded anything yet and they said no. I was admitted in mid-Jan. They suggested I emailed one of the Dean's with my current offers so far. I haven't heard anything back yet, but I will report when I do. I find it really off-putting how UF has handled everything. It is like they are trying to make me go to a better school out of state, or gasp, even push me to FSU. I have friends who are 1 and 2l's who all had the same experiences with UF.Uschoolqb10 wrote:I think UF's admissions protocol is very different from that of most law schools. Re: University of Florida Levin College of Law c/o 2018
I was admitted mid December, no word on money yet. Accepted into a T14 with money and a full ride to another school in Florida. Emailed the Dean, was told about the rolling basis for scholarship and invited to send in scholarship offers that I had already received. She did say the committee was supposed to be meeting towards the middle of this week, so I guess the next few days, we shall see what comes out of it. I agree though, it is starting to get a little insane the amount of waiting we are doing for UF.bob311 wrote:Funny you say this. I have had the same experience. Final decision reached notice issued as of this morning. Nervous as hell. Hopefully that Intel about waitlists/rejections only coming in March (and thereafter) holds true...
