I felt really good about it; she made it a pretty pleasant experience. Every question she asked me was on pulstar's list (except she asked me if I could have lunch with anyone, who would it be.... can't remember if that was on there or not).

She did give me some info that I think will be of interest to everyone. She said that I would receive my decision sometime in January, but didn't know if it would be at the beginning or the end of the month. So if you applied RD, don't hold your breath. Looks like it'll come in January.
Excellent! So no need to torment ourselves over the outcome for too long then. Thanks for sharing this with us!

And well done for having done well at interview--it's usually not such a pleasant experience if it goes wrong. Good luck! :D

I went from Submit to Complete in one day, but haven't got a Received e-mail yet (with information on status checker). Has this been anyone else's experience?

I didn't know they pay you to go, that's pretty awesome. I was curious since I got a few emails about it.

Just had my interview, I do not think I completely crashed and burned, so there is that.

On another note, I got the contact request (so I knew who was interviewing me) hours beforehand, is that normal?

Thought I should add a couple questions that I got that I had not seen listed in the threads (from Reagan Butler):
Why University of x for undergrad?
Are you applying to any Canadian Schools (am Canadian, so expected)
The only one that caught me a little off guard - If law school was not an option, what career path would you pursue right now?

I'm sure this information is around somewhere but is an interview required for admission?

Checking in. Submitted 11/18.

UChi is my realistic top choice (3.6/174), but it's looking like a long WL ride at best.

Yeah why is Chicago more realistic? Isn't Columbia or NYU more realistic out of CCN? I thought Chicago places by far more importance on GPAs than on LSATs out of CCN..

Think you're misunderstanding him guys. He's not saying it's his most likely choice (especially since he has a near 100% chance at NYU), but out of schools he could realistically get into, it's his top choice. As in, he doesn't think HYS are realistic, and knows Chicago is more likely than the top 3. He'd rather go to Chicago than Columbia or NYU, that makes it his most realistic top choice.

Also, checking in. Dat rigor. Has anyone else gotten like 3-4 complete emails?

I got my first complete email today (almost 3 weeks after my status checker went complete).

"Due to a glitch in our application processing system, it has come to our attention that you did not receive the email below confirming that your application is complete. We apologize for the inconvenience."

Ahh okay makes more sense - but I would still be curious to know why Chicago over Columbia/NYU

Well, according to a 1L with whom I spoke yesterday, every single person she knows of in her class had an interview, and she knows of nobody in her class who did not. So it would appear that it is de facto required, or very close to it.

For what it is worth, I have been told by the Admissions staff that it is not, and that they do admit without an interview.

However, my "putting two and two together skills" suggest either misrepresentation by the Admissions people, or that they admit so few without an admission as to make it statistically irrelevant.

Interviewed today with Annette Moore, very enjoyable experience. Only question I was asked that I haven't already seen mentioned here was "describe yourself in three words." Fun interview, overall.

Had her as well, and that one threw me for a loop. Made something up but probably my least strong answer of the interview. Otherwise it was very easy and enjoyable though.

hi guys. i submitted my application to chicago a week ago, on 11/21. i went through this thread to try to find the answer to this question, but no luck: should i have received my status checker already? i've gotten no confirmation that they've received my application beyond the lsac order confirmation and am a little worried. or perhaps i'm just neurotic.
