UR2 12/10

Have there been many rejections early on in past years? And by change in UR is closely followed by a decision are we talking a week/couple days/HOURS???

From LSN last year (http://penn.lawschoolnumbers.com/applic ... t=decision) it doesn't look like there were RD rejections early on, but there were ED. On your second question, I went UR2 on Monday (RD) and haven't heard anything yet. I'm thinking this week is ED week and they'll move on to RD next week, and that the "following closely" refers to later in the cycle, rather than the first set of acceptances.

Ohh okay, thanks for the info. So we should still expect to hear something this month with the update to the status checker right? Even if it's not as quick as it would be later in the cycle? I'm hoping next week.

Based on what I see from past cycle data, and what I've gleaned here over the last few months, yes, I think next week is probably likely if you had a date change this week. But this year is weird, so who knows, really.

Went UR on 12/3, but haven't gone to UR2 yet.

Is there reason to be worried? Is anyone else in this boat?

LSAT > 75%
GPA between 25% and 50%

Checking in!

So I guess I'm the first to report being held ITT?

International. LSAT at median. Average softs. ED.

Was talking to friends about how excited I was to be able to hear back from Penn this week when the email popped up a few minutes ago. I was expecting a little boost from ED but after all score rules...so there's that.

Hey Anastasia, I also got the email. Being "held." Does anyone know any statistics on ED denials, admits, and holds? Curious to know the percentage of applicants being held that actually have a shot at admission, or if its just a sign of impending doom.

In case the poster doesn't respond, I'd assume they wouldn't call for rejection/waitlist, and only call for acceptances right?

Congrats!

Wow, congrats! Looks like you may be the first RD admit. Maybe that means more calls are coming today and tomorrow...

so what the heck is the difference between UCR and UR2? I'm UCR as of 10 DEC.

Date changes. If it's changed twice while under committee review, people are calling that UCR2 or UR2 or w/e. UR=UCR
