Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
Got super excited when I got some mail from Cornell, especially with the size of it. Sadly, it was just the view book sent last week.

Tuition for 2014/15 was $59k. Cornell is gonna cross the $60k mark for 2015/16. Thats fucking nuts.

It gives a boost, but it also leaves you paying sticker and graduating with $300k in debt.Bigfish41 wrote:Checking in.

Checking in. Applied ED, really hoping that it's enough to pull me through.

So for Cornell they ask why the interest in 2-3 short sentences, should we also submit an addendum for why Cornell?

Just write the 3 sentences unless you've got some really compelling reasons you want to come here.imKMart wrote:So for Cornell they ask why the interest in 2-3 short sentences, should we also submit an addendum for why Cornell?

I'm visiting next week. Do you think it's worth asking if Cornell will cover travel costs, or is that laughable?

That's awkward.
I guess send an addendum. Probably better than the adcomm seeing "ANSWER THIS" and laughing at you for just plain forgetting.

My SC got updated for the 2nd time today after getting updated once on 11/13. Went complete in early October. Is Cornell like Mich with updates as well?

Did you apply RD or ED? I applied RD, went complete late October, and still no date change. Only been a few weeks so not exactly alarmed.strugglebus wrote:Just had my first date change. Went complete in late September, now showing complete with today's date.

RD. Looks like there wasn't much of a pattern to the date changes last year.usernotfound wrote:Did you apply RD or ED? I applied RD, went complete late October, and still no date change. Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
it says i'm complete but the "dean's certification" box is unchecked, and i know i sent one. does this mean i'm not really complete?
will they not review my application until that box is checked? my last status date is 11/8, although it says on the status checker i got my complete email on 11/11, so it's also weird that my last status date isn't 11/11

I thought some decisions would come out today but it looks like we'll be waiting until Mon/Tues at the earliest.

I think they followed last year's trend. I was accepted today at around 16:00 from an e-mail from Associate Dean Richard D. Geiger.
Anyways, I hope y'all hear favourable results soon!
