So my DLS went out today 7/14/14, a week after my previous post about the feeler email. I also have an email from UPS saying I have a 1lb package from "Law School / Admissions" arriving tomorrow.

Updated stats (splitters are LSAT>median, GPA<median):

wait list accepts: 14 (16.2% of remaining, 32.2% in last three years = 13.6 more expected, 18.9% chance)
wait list rejected: 0
wait list self-removal: 26
wait list remaining: 72
splitter wait list remaining: 9
splitter wait list accepted: 1 (55.4% over last three years = 4.54 more expected, 50% chance)

My status still says "confirmed on waitlist" from 4/30.

What does a feeler email look like? I'm debating on just calling up the admissions office, or stopping by in person since I'll be in NYC tomorrow.

Thoughts??

Looks like there was an extreme splitter 177/2.65 accepted off the waitlist today according to LSN....seemed like they'd been conservative about accepting people below 3.3 and as a result were taking people above 3.3 with LSAT's below the median or reverse splitters. I'm hoping this mean will see some more regular splitter action coming soon!

Them being conservative, and not accepting splitters.

According to LSN they accepted the same number of splitters as they did last cycle but wait listed half as many. Maybe they had an unusually high number of splitters accept their offer....they've been accepting reverse splitters and people slightly below both medians who wouldn't really pull down either number too much.

But seems like Columbia hasn't had wait list activity yet and NYU would prob be the #1 school ppl would be leaving for Columbia (it's closest ranked and in the same location).....hoping Columbia has some activity that propels some NYU activity.

Also hoping today's splitter is an optimistic sign that they went for a huge splitter who will bring up their LSAT median even while bring down the GPA median and so they'll start moving towards more traditional splitters soon as ppl continue to withdraw from the wait list and hopefully more spots open due to other schools movement.

Are you sure that LSN splitter is real? Seems like a lot of the profile information is phony -- his/her major is "Harlem Shakery" and s/he has been a "Pokmon Master" since 1998. Wouldn't be surprised if the numbers were significantly fudged. Regardless, I am amused.

Also, their self-reported law school predictor stats don't match up with the website's stats for 177/2.65. :/

I never even learned what a Pokemon Master is. Like, does he have to catch them all? Defeat the Elite Four? Of how many regions? Get all the badges, everywhere? No one knows.

Hey now, hey now, the crazy splitter is a "POKMON Master" not a "POKEMON Master." Let's slow down before we make too many assumptions.

Emailed them Wednesday about an upcoming deposit deadline and my continued interest. They said there are no further updates and there's no way to know when they'll be able to let me know a final decision.

Has anyone heard anything? How much longer are people planning on waiting?

I emailed them yesterday and withdrew. Near-zero chance anyway, and I got to the point where I wouldn't attend.

Good luck to everyone else hanging on!

I'm still waiting. I really hope that they let people know soon, I can't imagine what it'll be like if they gave us the decisions on the first day of classes...
