I applied in early March and haven't heard anything since. Application has sat at "App Complete" for the past few weeks (which is typical, I gather, until right before decision day).

Out of the ten schools I applied to, this is the only one I haven't heard a word from. Application has been complete for almost 4 months now...

Mine has been at "Complete" since March 18. I don't understand, as that is supposed to herald an impending decision.Baby_Got_Feuerbach wrote:I applied in early March and haven't heard anything since. Don't know why you think that, I've been complete since 11/30 and still no decision.HRomanus wrote:Mine has been at "Complete" since March 18. Are you at "App Complete" or "Complete"? Apparently there's a difference.Attax wrote:Don't know why you think that, I've been complete since 11/30 and still no decision.HRomanus wrote:Mine has been at "Complete" since March 18. It's odd because I am very competitive for admissions with both my scores and softs.

"Complete" is supposed to be the closer one. App Complete is just the same as "in review," I guess.Attax wrote:Oh, I didn't know that. Just at "Complete"Baby_Got_Feuerbach wrote:

Wait... App complete is in review? So that would be closer to admission, right?Baby_Got_Feuerbach wrote:"Complete" is supposed to be the closer one. App Complete is just the same as "in review," I guess.Attax wrote:Oh, I didn't know that. Just at "Complete"Baby_Got_Feuerbach wrote:

Whereas "Complete" (see the difference?) is (apparently) equivalent to "decision made." -- This is all anecdotal and what I've gathered from other posts ITT. Can't confirm with my own experience or based on any convos with admissions folks.cricketlove00 wrote:Wait... App complete is in review? Haven't had any luck with the admissions office - all I know is that I have been Application Complete since 10/10, which from the sounds of it is in review? No clue at all why it is taking them this long to get a decision to me.

Re: UNC c/o 2017 (2013-2014)
Application Complete = Still Under Review (no decision yet, maybe have not even read your file)
Complete = Decision Made (wait to hear decision in email)
Based on the last couple of years, any decision before the first cutoff (ie April 1st) with be either an Accept or Waitlist. Those made after that date will be Deny or Waitlist (though there are some rare exceptions it seems).
I think for those of us that have been waiting since 2013 we will likely be Denied or Waitlisted at best. I personally am still holding out hope, but reason stands those will be the results.
I think once the deposit payments due dates go by there will be more movement. Based on 2016 results there will be lots of movement the first week of April and then after each deposit due date as it goes by. This is logical. Also there is likely going to be a few admits over the summer since there are always emergency withdraws opening up spots for those holding out hope on the Waitlist.
If the admissions office folks liked my stats and papers they would have had time to read it by now. At this point I am hoping to make it to the Waitlist though even that is a long shot at this point. Hey I live 15 minutes down the road from the law school; I could literally wait until the first day of classes to hear if I got in, but pretty sure my nerves would have blown out by then.

Actually, my friend applied and has already been denied. Therefore, not all decisions rendered prior to April 1st are admits or wait listnickpapagiorgio wrote:Very helpful.pketpket wrote:Based on the last couple of years, any decision before the first cutoff (ie April 1st) with be either an Accept or Waitlist. Just received a late-night scholly offer after being accepted a few days ago. Underlined and in bold it says basically "no negotiations" incase anyone was curious.
Decent amount and happy about the quick turn around. Just give folks a good amount of time decide. Good luck to all.

Welp, I feel like today or Monday is sort of it. From all talks with current students/info from this thread I feel like all admits will be notified prior to april 1.

Congrats - I wonder why they said we wouldn't hear about more scholarships until after the first deposit? I didn't recieve any $ the first round but went ahead and put a deposit down. Wake vs. unc is basically a coin flip for me right now. No $ from unc but in-state tuiton. 25k per year from wake.Kanye West wrote:Just received a late-night scholly offer after being accepted a few days ago. I just withdrew. Good luck, young bloods. BTW, it was a $19k / year scholly for those curious.lsatnoob wrote:Congrats - I wonder why they said we wouldn't hear about more scholarships until after the first deposit? Re: UNC c/o 2017 (2013-2014)
Has anyone heard today? I'm still waiting on an admissions decision with my status at "complete" and my most recent status date updated on 3/25/2014.
Would it be a terrible idea to call? I've applied for a dual degree program, and students at the other UNC program I applied to mentioned many times in their forum posts that folks had had success with calling and just asking. That said, I know that the other program also took much longer because you had to wait for the decision to go through the graduate school office, which serves as a kind of umbrella for all of the schools.

On the phone they told me that although they don't reconsider for additional scholarship, they sometimes kick more money to students who have already paid deposits. Also I'm 75>LSAT 75>GPA and still haven't heard back, so hang in there everyone.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
