Wait listed. Not a surprise given my LSAT. Also out of state. It's ok though, it wasn't one of my top choices. Quasi-rejection hurts though .

I'm sorry thatgingergirl  According to LSN it does look like a handful of people do get pulled off Maurer's waitlist though.

May I ask how you received your decision? I am waiting for mine in the mail and I can't tell if there is a pattern of delivery/decision type.

Not necessarily...seemed like my email was more about receiving the scholarship than the basic congrats email. It looks like a lot of people had to wait on the mail to hear back! I was refreshing my email every three minutes once I had seen that my decision had been made haha

I received an e-mail today. Status had been at File Complete since 1/31. Status may have changed this morning before I got the e-mail but I didn't check. As of Saturday I was unchanged since end of January.

I had a decision made on 1/28 (Tuesday) and didn't receive an email. I received my acceptance letter in the mail on 2/7 (the following Friday). Ironically, I got the email about the admitted students page on that Friday also, but in the morning before I had received my letter. So you have nothing to worry about. They must have just started sending out emails.

AHHH, that makes me feel much better; I thought I had a decent shot of a Maurer acceptance. Thank you!!!

Anyone else get the email saying that those waiting should have a decision by March 10?

I received it about half an hour ago. I've been in review for a little over four weeks now.

Trying to read the tea leaves and figure out if that is a good or bad thing.

My GPA is well below median, but I also have some strengths, so I'm hoping it's a positive for me.

I honestly think it's a neutral thing. I fully expect an acceptance, so I wouldn't see it as a bad thing in your situation.

I didn't, been in review for a month now, which coupled with not receiving this email means bad news probably.

+1. I think it is just an update, not an indication of admission.

I was in review for nearly three months before I got my acceptance. Don't abandon hope just yet!

Thanks for lifting my spirit, I'm at the point where I just want to know regardless of the decision.

Also, my status check box just changed to this, from a box with no date or status:

"Term: Fall
Year: 2014
Program Time: Full Time
Degree: JD
Current Status: File Complete - In Review
Current Status Date: 2/26/2014"

With this at the top:

"Your file is now complete and has been sent to the committee for review. This process can take up to six weeks to render a decision. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the admissions office."

Yeah that's standard. It seems to be taking a while though, so hang in there. They sent out an email recently saying they were a little behind. Maybe watch some MSU basketball? That'll certainly make the wait easier.

Someone asked about interviews a few pages ago...Has anyone had a Skype interview? Any insight on what to expect and if it's a good sign?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
