also, does anyone know how long it takes to get an interview invite after going complete? I got a JS1 1-3 days after going complete, and if I can I'd do a Chi interview the day after the invite so I can have it before my JS1.

is UChi's representation in the V5/V10 just normal year to year variation, or is there a reason for it going up every year for the last few years?

Also, do the stats break it down further? Like are these NYC V5 offices, or everything? V3-5 have offices everywhere, so if UChi places well into DPW secondary market but not NYC, that may be relevant

There is no particular reason that I can think of for the uptick but you won't hear any complaints. Most are NYC, though we place a ton into Kirkland Chicago too which is probably like 1/5 of our V10 numbers.

C/O 2015 is going to have a higher percentage than c/o 2014's 27% in the V10 fyi.

If a school known for its conservatism were to try to censor its students from making data that should be readily accessible anyway more easily accessible, you know it'd end up on ATL.

As I've already expressed to Regulus, I don't get why UChicago isn't more open, anyway. The data in the above post, for example... I didn't make the anonymous post I quoted, but if you look at it, you'll see that it's really good.

and only 1/4 of the student body doesn't end up at a V100 firm.

More students end up in V10 firms than don't get the V100 at all. I bet that a large portion of those one out of four students who don't end up in the V100 didn't want biglaw at all, since it seems like about half of the 1L class wants PI or government work. I'm not sure why the school doesn't just share this themselves. Could be some sort of general policy across many schools, since I don't think anyone does share it, I guess.

I'm guessing the numbers instead apply only to those who are employed in private practice. Impressive nonetheless, but not as impressive as your analysis suggests.

You're missing two key points here george.

1. This is data for c/o 2014 - the LST numbers are for 2012. Presumably things have improved since then. (c/o 2012's summer #s indicate 69 percent were in the V100/NLJ250)

2. More importantly, this is for summer positions, and not full-time post-grad employment 9 months out. Thus, some portion of the ~15% of students who go on to clerk are included in this number. It is also possible that the summer associate biglaw % is higher because of a few no-offers, but I don't know the figures on that part.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this is how I interpreted the data.
