Writing all these Why X essays makes me wonder why Cornell doesn't ask for one. Thinking of submitting one anyway (via addendum), because I've heard that advice about UVA. Or would that look strange?

I guess my fear is that by writing an unsolicited one I would just come across as being presumptuous enough to think that I'll be YP'd, if that makes any sense.

My year they had a box that you typed a why Cornell statement instead of uploading an essay. Is that no longer the case?

Egad, right you are. For some reason my LSAC FlexApp had checked off "This section does not apply to me" and it showed up as "completed."

Still, they're pretty clear about "two to three short sentences," but I'm glad for the opportunity.

I received the status check email on 11/1. But my status still says "Verifying materials for completion," is it normal for Cornell to take this long before going complete? I don't have any outstanding LORs or LSATs. Thanks

Ya, mine took like 6 or 7 days to go complete.

Hm mine is almost 2 weeks and it's still not complete. I may call this week to see if there are any problems.

it was complete 10/22 initially then changed to 10/25.
