I guess my fear is that by writing an unsolicited one I would just come across as being presumptuous enough to think that I'll be YP'd, if that makes any sense.
My year they had a box that you typed a why Cornell statement instead of uploading an essay. Is that no longer the case?

Egad, right you are. For some reason my LSAC FlexApp had checked off "This section does not apply to me" and it showed up as "completed."

Still, they're pretty clear about "two to three short sentences," but I'm glad for the opportunity.

Thanks for pointing this out!

I received the status check email on 11/1. But my status still says "Verifying materials for completion," is it normal for Cornell to take this long before going complete? I don't have any outstanding LORs or LSATs. Thanks :)

Hm mine is almost 2 weeks and it's still not complete. I may call this week to see if there are any problems.

what's the deal with the required section of the app which asks us to "provide the names of individuals who particularly influenced your decision to apply to Cornell Law School"... i'm kind of at a loss. I did a quick look through this thread- did I miss discussion about this?

On page 3 I told people to just put N/A if nobody influenced them. I have no idea why they make this required, but it's not going to matter.

Yep- I applied 11/1 and still "verifying materials for completion." Glad I'm not the only one who was worried about it.

Hey Lavitz, could I get your PM? I'm UG at Cornell right now but I'd love to hear your insights on the law school in particular.

When did you go complete? I haven't been updated since the 25th, which was a few days after I went complete.
