Wouldn't this harm your chance given that you are essentially telling SLS that you did not pay much attention to their emails and randomly deleted them when you should have been archiving? Even if I can't log on they would still be reviewing my app as usual right, so there is really no reason to visit the page since all updates will be emailed anyways.crazyrobin wrote:email and ask.hcrimson2014 wrote:Anyone else having trouble logging onto the status checker? I got one like 2 months and never successfully logged onto it once, and I accidentally deleted the status checker email so I am not sure whether my information is correct. The Stanford status check username is essentially the same as the username for Harvard status check right? I assume it is since the interfaces are essentially the same.

Well, since you can't log on, I'll just simply ask them to reset it for me. By doing this, I can have my user name and password back.hcrimson2014 wrote:

I submitted my application about a month ago and my status checker still says incomplete (lacking an undergraduate transcript). Does anyone else have this problem?

Anyone have insight into the financial aid process at Stanford? The information on their website is a little sparse when it comes to students who have a spouse and/or dependents. I have also been out of undergrad for a few years and am hoping I don't have to empty my retirement account and sell my home before I qualify for grants. I make 30k a year and have penny pinched to save money for law school...it would suck if I can't get need based aid because I was frugal.

Yeah, actually like phillywc was at "submitted for review" after like 24 hours. I'd email/call them.christobel wrote:I think you should send them an email, my application was also missing one thing but I was able to sort it out with admissions and I'm now "submitted for review"Mr.PotatoHead wrote:I submitted my application about a month ago and my status checker still says incomplete (lacking an undergraduate transcript). Is anyone else's status checker broken?
It keeps telling me my password is wrong and then that my username does not exist, which I know is not true because I've logged in just fine before.

I've found that going through their website has always given me that error message even though I know I'm entering the info correctly. I always refer back to the original email that they sent us with the URL included and use that.wowhio wrote:Is anyone else's status checker broken?

This has been a problem in years past too. I'll put something in the first post about it.andapieceoftoast wrote:I've found that going through their website has always given me that error message even though I know I'm entering the info correctly. Just sent in my application. Wasn't planning on it, but the idea of Stanford has grown on me.

Did anybody else receive an invitation from Anthony Hart, a SLS financial aid advisor, to connect on LinkedIn? When I went to accept him, the link didn't work, which makes me think he accidentally sent requests to everybody? Is the fact that the financial aid office has my email address a good sign? I don't want to read too much into some dude not knowing how to use LinkedIn, but I can't help myself.

So basically you clicked on a random link from a stranger claiming to be from a school you applied to.pinkrobot wrote:Did anybody else receive an invitation from Anthony Hart, a SLS financial aid advisor, to connect on LinkedIn? He is already linked to all of the other SLS admissions/financial aid staff, so I am pretty sure we are talking about a real person here.Happy Gilmore wrote:So basically you clicked on a random link from a stranger claiming to be from a school you applied to.pinkrobot wrote:Did anybody else receive an invitation from Anthony Hart, a SLS financial aid advisor, to connect on LinkedIn? Checking in! Hoping to submit by the middle of next week-I feel like I'm already so behind the early-application curve, but my PS is a strugglefest right now and is definitely not ready to go.

Early is before Thanksgiving. Leave it at that lolluckystar84 wrote:last year's cycle, some of the first applicants to hear back applied early Nov. Is this really behind in the "early application" curve? I thought SLS was like YLS in that you have roughly the same chance throughout since they're looking for superstars
