Ugh, does anyone else have parents who absolutely refuse to do their taxes before the April deadline?

This. And I have to get info from both parents instead of the usual one parent--my parents are divorced.jselson wrote:Ugh, does anyone else have parents who absolutely refuse to do their taxes before the April deadline?

As a caveat, it's a shared bath! I think it's split between 3 rooms.
Is the room still available? I would only need it for the first two nights.

As far as dress, I have been to a couple of these, and I can say that you will stick out like a sore thumb if you wear a suit! Maybe Harvard people will be more formal, but yeah I'm definitely going jeans and t-shirt.

By the way... It is different from the SFS. I re-did the HUID pin and this time it gave me the option to emailI have the same thing. Think that I remember reading we'd get it in an email somewhereSearchparty wrote:Just did a PIN request now, seemed to go through. Although, the only delivery preference was to pick up a piece of paper in person - I'm hoping they really mean I will get an email. Did this happen to any(every)body else?jselson wrote:Has anyone tried to get a PIN yet? For some reason, neither the PIN request site nor the finaid site will accept my HUID.

Knowing Cambridge is a possible option next year makes checking the weather a whole new game. "Oh, Boston's getting a foot of snow today?" is now "OH MY GOD, could I deal with that?!"

What would it take to keep you from going to HLS?bob loblaw11 wrote:Knowing Cambridge is a possible option next year makes checking the weather a whole new game. "Oh, Boston's getting a foot of snow today?" is now "OH MY GOD, could I deal with that?!"

If it was solely up to me my deposit would already be down and I'd be wearing an HLS shirt all day, everyday. But I'm making the choice with an SO in mind (one who can't work in Boston) and still waiting on one school that might provide a nice compromise if costs are comparable.jselson wrote:What would it take to keep you from going to HLS?
.... tl;dr - definitely not the weather.

Hope everyone's travels to ASW are safe. Anyone know where registration is? I didn't see a location on the schedule.

Kinda immature to think that of the seven billion people in the world, your current SO is definitely the person with whom you should spend the rest of your life, no? But mehhhhUtilityMonster wrote:What immaturity.ManOfTheMinute wrote: There will be a lot of new SOs waiting for you at HLS... so yeahhhhh

The seven billion number is irrelevant, assuming one is not bisexual, wants to speak same language of spouse, doesn't plan to go looking for a spouse in Somalia, wants to marry someone +/- 10 years in age, desires specific qualities in a spouse that are rare, etc.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Kinda immature to think that of the seven billion people in the world, your current SO is definitely the person with whom you should spend the rest of your life, no? I actually found MOTM's comment kind of comforting considering I might have to end things with my SO to come to HLS... so thanks bro.
