Hi all, I had been stuck at "Under Review" since December 21, and the date changed yesterday (still "Under Review", now March 11). Any idea what this might mean?

I'm in the same boat as you... Date changed to 3/11 as well. Alabama moved up to 21 in the rankings. I would love to go there. Hoping and praying for the best

I believe there were a couple of people earlier in this thread who were admitted after PFCD.

Just got a call from Alabama. They offered additional scholarship funding! Their admissions staff has really impressed me, and I'm ready to pay my deposit. Roll Tide!

Yes. I will say they've called me quite a bit just to check in, and I've remained pretty noncommittal, since I was also strongly considering UGA. I never tried to negotiate, though.

I was PFCD for at least a month before I got the call. Waitlist is waitlist. They're still contacting folks and spots are opening up as some of the top prospects decline offers from UA for other top schools. Good luck.

Did you send a LOCI while you were PFCD?

No, I didn't send a letter but I did call once to speak with Marcus Cotton. He encouraged me to send him an email with some updated information about my resume. I also was able to send in another rec from my boss.
I would encourage you to just touch base with either Martha Griffith or Marcus Cotton informally and see what they say.

Becoming even more impressed with the admissions team.. Even considering their huge jump their still bending over backwards to help me make my decision.
Asked Becca Brinkley about my scholarship stipulations and she called me from her cell because she wasn't in the office long enough to answer today.
Emailed Dean Mary Ksobiech about the COL figures they use, got an email response back right away.

Does anyone know if they will still match scholarships after you've already paid the deposit?
I paid my deposit 2 weeks ago but then I received a huge scholarship (3/4 tuition) last week that is definitely making me question my decision. I would only lose $100 if I didn't go to Bama so I'm really torn with taking this other offer. I emailed the admissions committee twice about the scholarships I've received, but have yet to hear back. I was hoping that by paying my deposit it would show them that I'm serious about Bama. Unfortunately I think it has come across that I'm 100% going. But I'm still waiting to see if they come back with money before I make my final decision.
Should I call? Should I email Becca personally? I wish I would have waited to pay my deposit...

I noticed that they're slow to respond to emails like that... then usually call if something changes.. Might not hurt to call, but I know Becca is out of office for the rest of the day. I emailed the admissions email before the open house and Becca personally afterwords.
Like I said, I didn't get an "email" back from either.. But Becca finally called me. Since then, email responses have been much faster.

Clearly the new ranking hasn't gone to their head. Alabama is still working hard to get their seats filled, so definitely contact them and let them know that you're torn. They may just make the decision easier for you.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
