I submitted a last minute application end of March. It went into review earlier this week and I just checked my status and it shows admitted already, wow that was quick. Wonder if I got any money.

Now, should I consider Pepperdine? Plan had been going to Loyola.

Depends what you want to do after graduation, as well as what financial aid package at each place will look like.

Just got an email from Pepperdine, and it appears they have now created an official Facebook group for the class of 2016.

Does anyone know if Pepperdine is one of those schools that only sends out acceptances and waitlists? Confused about why I haven't heard from them when it's been close to 12 weeks that I've been in review.

My status now says decision rendered - I feel like most people saw they were admitted online. Anyone just get the decision rendered message and then accepted? *nervous*

Yeah, I actually got an admitted students email that went to my spam, THEN it said decision rendered twelve hours later, and the next day I finally received an actual email that said I got in.

it's been around 11 for me...have you heard back yet? It's wierd how slow it is...

Ugh so it says 'decision rendered', and from reading everyone's posts, I'm assuming that's negative. Also I've moved out of my school housing and am now home abroad, so my mail has to be forwarded, so I won't find out for another week or more!

Should I be getting a positive or negative email soon or is it only via paper?

Best guess is that it will most likely not change. I think by this point that most people are trying to find some other/lower ranked school to go to (or better yet, studying for a retake)

They're managing numbers. I got an increased scholly offer (but still with stips--when will they learn?) even though I did not deposit there, just this afternoon.

They're managing numbers. I got an increased scholly offer (but still with stips--when will they learn?) even though I did not deposit there, just this afternoon.

It appears their policy is to always have stips. Even the 5 people who get full tuition + 5k for housing have to maintain a certain gpa or rank.

Additionally, do you think you got an increase cuz you hadn't accepted their offer yet or what?

I don't know. I grew up near to Pepperdine (further down the coast, South Bay), so maybe they were trying to appeal to my being close to home? I'm not really rocking out the numbers or anything, but got into a lot of Tier 1 schools, some with substantial schollies, so Pepperdine, even with a lot of money, was not competitive, especially bc I don't want to practice in LA. Still, the fact that they offered me a slot means that there is still at least one!

They could be waiting til next deposit...they have one due at the start of July.
