Good luck! Although my cycle just started I leaning heavily towards W&L and can't wait to visit on ASW!!

Does anyone have any idea what the money is going to look like this year? Should we basically expect similar numbers as last year?

I am still wondering when we get info on $/$$/$$$/ sticker. I only got my acceptance email and a letter in the mail (with a sticker!! ) but no info when when financial information will arrive

"All admitted students are automatically considered for a merit scholarship. Historically, we have made our first round of awards in mid-January. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be notified of your award by letter. If you do not receive an award, you will also be notified of this decision by letter. New scholarship decision letters will be released every Tuesday beginning January 15th. Applicants whose files are completed by December 31 will receive full consideration for merit-based scholarships.Application files completed after December 31 will be considered for merit-based scholarship assistance to the extent funds remain available. After the first round of scholarship awards, which occurs around mid-January, scholarship notification can be expected two to three weeks after admission. "

Not me. But I was accepted last thur so I assume it will take them a few more weeks to send me a notification of yes/no

If they are following the same format as last year you will receive a letter in the mail saying if you received a scholarship...last year they had scholarship decisions in the first batch for anyone who was accepted before that date...and then the rest came out in batches

Do you mean snail mail or email? I also understood that they also send a letter if they won't offer you anything.

did everyone who was accepted get the email just now about scholarship info being sent, or did only the people that actually received scholarships get the email? the email kinda made it seem like a generic message to anyone possibly waiting for info on a scholarship, not necessarily that you actually received one

I just got it. I think everyone got it cause it says that everyone will get a letter regardless.

As an aside, I do like how prompt W&L has been about keeping applicants informed as to what's been going on with their cycle. It's quite a welcome change from other school who don't so much as send you a single email even after you've been complete for damn near five months!

Just saying.

Same here. Though IMHO it still doesn't mean that there is definite $ there

I was wondering about this. Mine was mailed as well. Hopefully it won't take forever to get here.

Nah. I am sure you will get it tomorrow. I think it was sent yesterday.

I also agree with the poster who talked about W&L's overall attitude. I find it really compelling honestly. I think school underestimate how much we judge and evaluate them on how we are being treated as applicants.

Yup. I agree. My cycle is not even close to be over (unless I get accepted to NW AJD {they notify by 2/1} and then it's pretty much game over I think) but regardless my heart draws me to W&L for some reason. I can't wait to visit and see things first hand.

Yup. I agree. My cycle is not even close to be over (unless I get accepted to NW AJD {they notify by 2/1} and then it's pretty much game over I think) but regardless my heart draws me to W&L for some reason. I can't wait to visit and see things first hand.

Same here:) My heart will be broken if I don't get a good enough scholarship to go. I'm scared.
