Umm... consider that two of us. If it helps, UW is confusing as Hell to predict. Their LSN graphs are bizarre.TheGeneral wrote:Waitlisted 168/3.7. Pretty surprised honestly

This. Anyone?dproduct wrote:Okay this scholarship thing is really strange. I need to find a 2L or 3L to elaborate on this. From what I can tell, they only issue scholarships per year and you have to re-apply each year? What?

i am unsuccessfully trying to recover from my hangover of death from the post-waitlist activities. anyone know how good of a shot it is to actually get off the waitlist at UW? i know most places it's like a nice rejection.

After sleeping on it I'm going to withdraw from UW's waitlist. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

1L here at UW. For those of you who were waitlisted (and have high scores /GPAs), you likely have been waitlisted because your scores are too high. If you really want to go, stay on the waitlist and wait it out. Unfortunately, UW Offers terrible financial aid and many people will choose to go somewhere that will offer a scholarship (esp out of state students).

No, the reason the school gives out terrible scholarships is because they are guaranteed to renew each year. So they can't take chances on over giving the first year. This is what the financial aid department told me last year. Unless they have changed it, the scholarships stick. This may not be the case for outside scholarships.b123 wrote:This. U of Wash,,,,if they are confusing they are just screwing themselves...Haven't heard anything...expecting a YP. 168/3.9 if everyone else is getting those vibes. l got into GW, Gtown adn WUSTL already. If they are as stingy as the blogs say they are then I will not be attending.... they didn't give me anything for UG.

Hey, all. Dropping in to double-check how scholarships work. All I do is submit my FAFSA then complete the tab on the admitted students portal?
Cheers. I would probably commit today if they gave me enough money. So I just want to make sure I do it right.

From what I can tell, yup. I'm just waiting on FAFSA and then I'm going to tackle the essays on the scholarship page.WhatOurBodiesAreFor wrote:Hey, all. Dropping in to double-check how scholarships work. All I do is submit my FAFSA then complete the tab on the admitted students portal?

Darn! Waitlisted. Was really hoping to sneak through with my below median numbers. Well, I'm happy not to be rejected I guess! Definitely sticking it out as this is one of my top choices. Anyone else hear back?
