It's the same way for me. I wouldn't worry about it.mmbt123 wrote:quick question, my status is complete but the boxes "study abroad transcript" and others that don't apply to me are checked. is that normal? or did my undergrad dean f*ck up as usual?

Hi,
Does anyone know whether the status dates update/change, like they do at NYU and Georgetown, as applications are being moved through the applicant pile?
Mine still says, "Your application has been submitted for review" for about 2.5 months here. It doesn't sound horrible...unless everyone else's is updating...?

Hi there, fellow international applicant!M458 wrote:Hey guys--thinking of applying to Stanford, but I'm wondering whether anyone here knows if they provide institutional loans as part of their financial aid to International students the way that Harvard and Yale do. I wouldn't be able to attend otherwise, so I'm holding off on applying before I know for sure. I've looked all over their website and on the PDF they have breaking down their policies and can't seem to find anything. Was planning on calling Monday, but figured maybe someone knew. Thanks!
I can't provide you with a direct link as I am on my phone and a bit in a hurry but I checked in details for this information last year and I am PRETTY SURE (let's say 99%, just in case it might have changed or my memory might be wrong!) that Stanford law school do have a program similar to Y and H for international students. I'll try to get back to you on this when I'll be on my laptop!

Mine's been like that since the end of October. Not quite 2.5 months, but it sucks. I feel like status date changes give us something to do while waitingshakespeare wrote:Hi,

Stanford sent me a fee waiver last week...I know I have no shot of admission there, why would they tease me like this?! YP be damned, that's just mean!

I thought they didn't do fee waivers? Or is it need based?matthewsean85 wrote:Stanford sent me a fee waiver last week...I know I have no shot of admission there, why would they tease me like this?! YP be damned, that's just mean!

It's not need-based, but maybe it could be military service based? I have a hard time believing that could be the case, considering I never submitted anything to them asking if they offered fee waivers for my service. It's all very confusing.digifly wrote:I thought they didn't do fee waivers? Re: Stanford C/O 2016 Applicants Thread
When I initially applied, my study abroad option was not checked and my file was listed as incomplete even though everything had been turned in. I emailed them and informed them that I would not have a study abroad transcript and they emailed me back almost immediately and told me that it was fixed and my file was not complete. So evidently it has to be checked.mmbt123 wrote:quick question, my status is complete but the boxes "study abroad transcript" and others that don't apply to me are checked. is that normal? or did my undergrad dean f*ck up as usual?

Any insight as to the day when decisions will be released this week? My guess is Wednesday, but there's really nothing to support that.

Re: Stanford C/O 2016 Applicants Thread
There's nothing indicating that SLS will wait to give out decisions after the new year. If past cycles are any indication, we should be seeing some acceptances later this week. The admissions blog also tends to post around this time indicating when decisions will be going out. If they'd chosen to postpone acceptances, I'm sure we'd get an update.
ETA: Yale also doesn't wait until after the new year. So the above post is completely off base.

In fact over here it looks like TLS' first Yale phone call acceptance happened this afternoon....RSterling wrote:There's nothing indicating that SLS will wait to give out decisions after the new year. Come on Stanford. For the sake of our sanity, at least give us a blog post of when you expect to start making the calls.
Especially if you're gonna make us wait until after Christmas.

Yale has already let in a handful of people in. I'm guessing Stanford (hopefully) starts later this week.uconjak wrote:A friend of mine told that yale might delay do to Sandy...a week or so....that puts it at nearly jan1. I am a dec. test taker ....hoping the process would be delayed slightly

Had a dream that I got into Stanford. Was shaking and crying with happiness. My parents were unimpressed, and there was also a unicorn at ASW. I was so depressed when I woke up ): no Stanford AND no unicorns.
