Checking in. Likely ED applicant, assuming I don't bomb the LSAT in Dec.
Speaking of which, with a 3.93 GPA, what is the lowest I can score and still safely assume an acceptance? Obviously I'm aiming for as high of a score as possible, but I'd also like to determine where my meltown-mode cutoff should be.

Nah, not too surprised. I think I have a pretty compelling story and well written essays, but I was not banking on that overcoming a sub-3.0 GPA.Dr. Filth wrote:Damn sorry sunny.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Got waitlisted about an hour after posting this. Damn, even if I get fee waivers everywhere I want to apply, at $21/pop, they're going to be annoying.
Where else are you throwing extra spending cash at?

WUSTL will throw money at you, and they have no app fee this year.JEB wrote:I threw my extra spending cash at Mich, Penn, Duke, Texas, USC, Emory, W&L, and W&M.

Very true. Ugh, does this mean I have to start posting in other threads, too?shifty_eyed wrote:WUSTL will throw money at you, and they have no app fee this year.JEB wrote:I threw my extra spending cash at Mich, Penn, Duke, Texas, USC, Emory, W&L, and W&M.

I def don't post in every thread for schools that I applied in. I don't need any more judgement than I already get!alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Very true. Re: UVA c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
Just going to go ahead and reply to this instead of the actual question. I think I'm going to throw apps at Mich, NU, GTown, Penn, Cornell, Wash U, Vandy, and GWU. But I only have a fee waiver for Vandy, so I'm not sure if I want to spend the cash. Aaand I haven't written any school specific essays for any of these schools. I have a job interview for a job that doesn't suck as bad as the one I have now tomorrow, so I might just push all of this back a year and retake if I get it. Not sure. I'm feeling awfully indecisive right now.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Very true. I know the feeling, bro, having delayed a year and retaken myself. It was the right call for me, and I'm sure you'll make the right one for you, too. Best of luck.Dr. Filth wrote:Just going to go ahead and reply to this instead of the actual question. I think I'm going to throw apps at Mich, NU, GTown, Penn, Cornell, Wash U, Vandy, and GWU. First time posting on here! Applied ED/complete on the 12th and still haven't heard back. All I have seen from replies are those who were complete by the 5-8th. I'm guessing our time is early next week.vishwanath15 wrote:So have the decisions for the ED applicants started to come out now?... I'm pumped for RD decisions in another month or so. I need an excuse to head back down to VA!

You're thinking it'll be that soon? I know there is some precedent for it, but I hesitate to put too much hope in the October basket.WhiteyCakes wrote:I'm pumped for RD decisions in another month or so. I need an excuse to head back down to VA!

Looking at the decision timeline it looks like there's some definite RD decisions in October.

Re: UVA c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
True, but I'm just consciously choosing to ignore that possibility so I won't expect to be one of the earlier RD decisions. I'd rather let it be a surprise, otherwise I'll spend all month staring at my phone and letting myself go to pieces.Yukos wrote:Looking at the decision timeline it looks like there's some definite RD decisions in October.
