I was hoping for today. Last year it was the Monday of Thanksgiving week. I'm not sure when exactly during the day though... Also, do they call us, or email, or status checker?

Based on last year's thread, it's calls. With the early Thanksgiving though I'm not expecting any calls until next Monday.

Last year's tweet announcing phone calls was sent at 5:20 pm Est, so could happen late afternoon. Nervous.

My friend texted me to say she had a missed call from Dean of Admissions at Berkeley. I told her its a good sign, is it safe to tell her she got in???

How long after submit did you Day 1 guys go complete? I submitted 11/5 and am still just "received" with a status date as 11/5, too.

It's probably not "safe" to tell her that, but I can't think of another reason the Dean would be calling. I'd suspect if there was an issue with her app someone else would be calling to rectify it. Anyone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I sure wish I missed a call from Dean Tom today.

I'm reading that as a "no calls till after thanksgiving." also skeptical about this friend's missed call... Possible trolling?

Yeah I was surprised I thought we'd get some before Thanksgiving. Also I'm sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but why on earth do they close down offices for so long just for Thanksgiving in the US? (I am Canadian and we only have a 3 days weekend for Thanksgiving)

It's hard to have a 3-day weekend given that Thanksgiving is on Thursday.

I submitted on 11/1 but my application is still just "received." I did ask them to hold my app until my second rec arrived (11/9) but I'm not sure why it is taking them this long to put my app under review :s

I agree that we likely won't hear anything until next week, but every time I receive a call from an unknown or unsaved number I can't help but hope that its Berkeley.

Mine is also still received from when I submitted it on the 11th.

SHE's IN!! My friend called back this morning!!

Under review in mid October (or last week of Oct?) LSAT 165 / GPA 3.9 from Ivy with really good softs..

She said Dean Tom said the online login info wasn't ready to give out yet (for admitted students) and that admissions packets weren't ready to be mailed but will go out after Thanksgiving but before Christmas holidays.

Stay close to your phones today

edit: fyi she missed a call yesterday from them, called them back this morning
