You probably are under review, the status checker doesn't have anything in between complete and decision letter mailed. When I was waiting on Spring I called and asked since I had been complete since March and she told me I was under review. I was accepted a few days later.Bluewavesix wrote:So uh, I guess since I'm not even under review yet that I'm denied for summertexag1979 wrote:I visited last week and the law building is legit. Yes, the summer seat deposit is the one due Feb 15.?

Great news. So then the seat deposit is dependant on when you get accepted. Thanks for the info!

Re: Baylor 2012 (Class of 2015)
Has anyone else had anything like this show up on their Status Checker?
"Letter from Professor David Swenson 02/14/2012"
It's right there on the left side of the page under the "Mailings" header.

Yes, for Spring and Fall. Fall was sent 1/20, I don't remember getting either of them though.Txrb182sc wrote:Has anyone else had anything like this show up on their Status Checker?

Waitlisted, but offered admission in the summer and spring? That doesn't make sense. I don't know what they mean by that. Still, I am pretty excited about that response. Baylor has a really terrific ranking and I hear a lot of good things. Does anyone want to through some bad stuff out there to help me make my decision?

Does anything pop up in the fees section once your decision has been mailed?

Thanks. I was nervous that might have been a bad sign.

Re: Baylor 2012 (Class of 2015)
I called and got my decision packet pdf file emailed to me since its been 18 days since they mailed it out. They only offered me 15k a year, which is below what I thought I was going to get. But then again, looking at it closely, Baylor definitely favors GPA. Oh well. Time to move on I guess.

I just got accepted for Fall. Trying to negotiate $$ though which I will most likely succeed in doing for summer but not fall.

Complete 2/1
Decision letter mailed 2/7
Letter received 2/13 (dated 2/10 so clearly it didn't get mailed out 2/7...)
Accepted for Summer with 30k a year and a deposit deadline of 2/29 (gpa 3.6, lsat 162 if you're wondering)
Anyone else that's applied in an earlier cycle notice that the seat deposit this year was $500, but previously (2010 for me) it was only $300, with the option of two separate payments? Might have been because that was for fall, but I was like wait wtf?
I'm 99% positive I'll be attending, so maybe I'll see some of y'all there?

I can't go. I don't have enough of a scholarship. I wish I could go. Some folks told me to negotiate. I am considering calling them and asking if I would get more money if I applied for next Spring or Summer.
ETA: My scholarship is 15K per year with top third stipulations.

The standards are a bit lower for admittance in the non-fall terms. Their website lists the numbers for each.h2oplyer7 wrote:Waitlisted, but offered admission in the summer and spring? I definitely think you could negotiate. You could send them an e-mail basically saying you really want to go but need more, and see what they say. If that doesn't work or they up it but its still not enough, you could use whatever you get from UH later for leverage.sarahmargie wrote:I can't go. I don't have enough of a scholarship. And if you can't negotiate the money, try the stipulations! My 30,000/ year (or three quarter I guess) only has a top 3/4 stip.

That's what mine has. Didn't realize some people had different stips.cch24 wrote:And if you can't negotiate the money, try the stipulations! My 30,000/ year (or three quarter I guess) only has a top 3/4 stip.

Actually, I don't even know. It just said maintain a 2.75. I think that's got to be at least top third.

10 days to 2 weeks is what it has taken most people from the posts on this thread.ilovetonyromo wrote:"Decision letter mailed 2/14" how long should I expect it to take?

There's a hand-written note at the bottom. I guess that could be the hold-up.
