Well all my fellow peeps stuck at "under review" since 12/1, it's been 10 weeks as of today! Is that the epitome of a due and speedy process or what?

Re: UW Madison c/o 2015
I feel you bro, I guess this year is really crazy for admissions. Many schools are in the same position, I feel that it's kind of wrong to make us wait this long without word but then again I had my first under review in 11/01. I paid my application fee applied early with the expectation of an early response. It sucks but lets stay optimistic. I'm guessing tommorrow or next week they'd have to give us a decision. I mean they have only admitted a few amount people at a time from what TLS and LSN tells us.jenkswarrior wrote:Well all my fellow peeps stuck at "under review" since 12/1, it's been 10 weeks as of today! I think I've said that every weekday for the last few weeks. I've been under review since 11/22. But I'm still believing with you.Bmarce wrote:OK people! Tomorrow must be the day. Please join with me in believing!

I'm really hoping they get their act together and let us know today. This is the last real school I'm waiting on and it's stalling my negotiating with other schools. Seriously hope they let us know!

Received literature from Wisconsin that went on and on and on about diversity which I found interesting because, even though I'm technically not a URM by law school standards, I am marketing myself as a diverse applicant. Does Wisconsin send such mail to everyone or did they send this to all the ethnic names on CAS? This particular sentence, "When we sent CAS a profile of the kinds of students we are especially interested in attracting, one of the names we received was yours," suggests to me the latter, because my numbers are certainly below Wisconsin's range.

I got this also. On my CAS report I am classified as Middle Eastern, which is not technically URM. However, Wisconsin also had a category for Middle Eastern on their diversity profile.pret wrote:Received literature from Wisconsin that went on and on and on about diversity which I found interesting because, even though I'm technically not a URM by law school standards, I am marketing myself as a diverse applicant. May have gotten this, too...don't know yet because I haven't checked my mail at home. FWIW, I'm not technically an URM but I am a pretty unique candidate (everybody says that, but really, how many queer Rromani-Filipino-Middle Eastern applicants can there be in one cycle?)tlahood wrote:I got this also. I am really shocked that there has been no movement. What could the hold up be?

Legit. They're not my number one, and I probably wouldn't attend if accepted, but it'd be nice to know...tooswolle wrote:I'm getting to the point where I'm just not expecting anything. MOVEMENT! Mine went under review today. Maybe they were holding off until I sent in FAFSA? (sent it in last night)

I think he applied in January. I think there are two groups - a 12/1 set and an after 12/1 set. He's part of a different date bunch than the rest of us. I didn't go complete until 12/6.vpintz wrote:When did you apply?vaguephoenix wrote:MOVEMENT! Mine went under review today. Maybe they were holding off until I sent in FAFSA? (sent it in last night)

I applied Jan 16th, complete Jan 25th. Hopefully it isn't a huge wait; 8+ weeks would put me at past a deposit date at another school; so there goes $300 if I would get into Madison.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
